Cant wait for it to start. We had some big signings:

FA: Weddle, Watson, T. Richardson, M Wallace, V. Ducasse, J Powers and those have the potential to really help our team

Draft: Stanley, Correa, Kafusi, Dixon, C Moore, Judon, Tavon, Cannaday, Henry, A. Lewis, and Keenan Reynolds.

UFA: V. Ochi, S. Nembot, C. Luckett, J. Bruxton, M.Pierce, (I think there is a good chance that one of them will keep the streak going... I like Pierce... we probably have at least a PS member or two here).

As big as some of these signings are and will be... I still feel like the biggest addition for the 2016 Ravens is Coach Leslie Frazier! Our DB has struggled since Pees took over at DC but the addition of LF should help ensure that this is no longer a weak spot of our team. Hope Harbs keeps pressure on Pees to be a little more aggressive ... I think the additions to our personnel and the addition of coach Leslie Frazier can bring us back to being a feared defense if Harbs tightens the screws and demands a little more out of Pees.

I am excited about the potential of this team! Cant wait!

Who will emerge from the pack? I really like Maxx Williams getting called out here. Between his age, athleticism, and NFL pedigree (aka his dad was a longtime NFL player) I see him as someone who has the potential to develop into a top-tier TE. We know that he can catch, and the mini-camp reports said "a year in an NFL weigh room has done him some good". The addition of Watson and getting Pitta back into the mix should help him develop as well. Now I'm not necessarily saying that Maxx is going to leap-frog everyone in training camp here, but I've got this gut feeling that it's only a matter of time before he starts to separate from everyone else.

I've said since he signed, the biggest impact to our defense might not even be a player on the field. That's how confident I am that Coach Frazier will whip our secondary into shape.

I don't really think Trent Richardson will be helping the team this year. He's already injured and trying to come back and he's got plenty of talent ahead of him. He's not going to beat out Forsett. Kenneth Dixon is pretty much a lock for a roster spot, and I am sure it is about the same for Buck Allen. Something like an injury is going to need to happen for West, Richardson, or Taliafero to make it.

Vlad Ducasse has fallen out of favor with every team he's been on. He's got a reputation for not being a very good guard, especially in pass protection. He offers some pop in the running game though. To me, Jensen played very well last season and I think it is his job to lose.

Props to you on the Frazier comment. I think he will be a huge bonus to getting our secondary back in order and along with Weddle being his field general and essentially the coach on the field for the secondary. I expect to see vast improvements with this unit as long as everyone is healthy.

I am sure several of those UDFA's will be on the practice squad provided nobody else scoops them up from us.

I am really excited about this team this year. I'm really only concerned about 3 things, and that is IF Perriman can actually play a down in an actual game, how the ILB core will plan out now that D Smith is gone, and how the O-line will work out now that KO is gone, and we have a rookie LT. Other than that, I just can't wait for the season to start so we can shut up everyone that always talks down about us.

If were going to stick Correa at ILB, WHY did we not draft Myles Jack??? Correa was supposed to be a pass rusher.

Knee concerns

He was injured prior to the draft. It was discovered that he has a chronic knee condition that jeopardizes his NFL longevity. This is not an opinion it is a fact. His chronic condition is a deterioration of the cartilage in his knee. It will continue to deteriorate as time goes on and it will not magically heal itself. Once he wears out enough of the cartilage where he is rubbing bone on bone; which is extremely painful mind you, he will absolutely require micro fracture surgery and even he has admitted this. If you don't know anything about that procedure you might want to look it up. It is a very nasty operation and the success rate of it isn't anywhere near 100%. Essentially you are trying to create synthetic cartilage by drilling holes into the knee and letting it bleed and build up scar tissue until it hardens enough to be "cartilage." Since it is a relatively knew procedure too, there is no way of telling how long that new "cartilage" will last.

The question and risk with him is not if it will happen, but a very definite when. Some experts thought this would happen within five years. Some think it won't be until much later in his career. The Ravens simply weren't willing to take that risk at the pick the Jaguars took him. I think Ozzie said they might have taken him at a later pick if he had dropped to them.
