Putting Richardson on this list tells me they are trying to buy time to make a decision on him. He is on a roster bubble in a crowded position group. One would assume that his hamstring is healed by now - the injury occurred months ago.

I'm really looking forward to Suggs' presser. TBH, the past two camps he looked like he just realized he's the only oe remaining from the legendary Ravens' D - and he genuinely seemed like he felt old. He was nowhere near his old, joking self, he admitted to thinking about the end of the road... I guess his presser this weekend will reveal a lot about which Suggs we can expect back.

CAW CAW CAW it is THAT time of year folks. Stay healthy and put in work Ravens.

Ahhh... camp has become the nightmare season in my eyes the past couple of years... Hoping no key player gets injured, bracing myself for bad news whenever I check the website...
Let's hope it's gonna be somewhat different this time.

Does seem like last 2 years it was mostly "x player injured" stories that popped up.

Praying that the injury bug moves away and the natural grass and new conditioning program makes a positive change

All players are replaceable. Unpleasant as it may be to have hero players too injured to practice, the team must move forward with physically able talented players that earn their opportunity to start as a Raven.

I feel ya pain, Bio! lol  It has been a nightmare the past couple of years.  Just crossing my fingers and hoping the old adage is true...no news is good news.  Almost afraid to look sometimes, lol.  :doorpeek:

After the injury disaster this team suffered through last season it is paramount that this team remains relatively injury free for the majority of the season in order to have a chance at a winning record and going into the playoffs.

We know Rolle is not coming back this season so for him the move is just a formality until they move him to IR or reach an injury settlement with him before releasing him.

Of all the names on the list I am confident that they all will be coming back relatively soon and will have good seasons save for one and this might be the most worrying name on the list. That would be Breshard Perriman.

The guy that has speed as one of his main weapons has dinged up pretty significantly both knees in his first two seasons in the NFL...and he has yet to actually play a snap of football in a pre season game or regular season game. We don't yet really know if that stem cell injection in his currently injured knee has actually worked yet. Even if it has you have to suspect that he will have lost a bit of his speed, agility, and/or acceleration. I hope he comes back and proves me wrong and remains healthy for the remainder of his NFL career. The Ravens could certainly use him this year and going forward.

I am more optimistic that Steve Smith Sr. will recover from his torn Achilles then Bershad Perriman will recover from bumping his knee--even with the new haircut.

P.S. I cannot wait to see what we'll get out of Mike Wallace.

He's done. Justin Forsett/Buck Allen/Kenny Dixon. It doesn't even make sense that they would keep him right now. I like the experiment, but it has failed.

Certain players are irreplaceable. Someone else takes their spot, but it's never quite the same. Steve Smith and Terrell Suggs make this team exponentially better by their mere presence alone. They are the rare type of people you find in every profession that just seem to make everyone else around them better.

If they can't play the Ravens will move on and be fine, but that doesn't make them replaceable.

Over/under on downs played by Campanaro this year. 10.
Over/under on downs played by Perriman this year. 1.

I'll take under on both.

Because Suggs has taken so long to address the media, I wonder if he is thinking about retiring. Good luck to all of those guys. I hope to hear about them playing at least in camp at some point. About Perriman. I'm tired of even seeing his name in these post. This year is now or never. Ravens can't afford to release guys to save a spot for guys that can't stay healthy in practice.

LOL, I had someone suggest today that Perriman (when he can show up) should come to camp wrapped in bubble wrap, or in one of those hamster balls! Hopefully he's able to put all these jokes about him to rest this year and come out balling! GO RAVENS! 25

I hope he does too, but if he doesn't then we all know what that means.

He's not retiring this season, if so he would have done it months ago. I do believe that this will be his last season tho. All the fans should really embrace him this season.

Exactly, I'm keeping my fingers crossed but at the same time preparing myself to hear that disappointing news. I'm already bracing for another Perriman disappointment. I just hope Suggs has a blast this season.

yeah, so true. We still haven't replaced Ed Reed. Hopefully Weddle will change that.

Perrian needs to return to training camp in no less than a week. We keep projecting him to be the starter next to SSS, but the most he has ever done in the nfl is BARELY PRACTICE! he participated in minicamp and 1 day in training camp last season, and only part of minicamp this year. He hasnt even played in a preseason game. As far as im concerned the starters should be Wallace and Aiken with SSS on limited reps and Perrimn as the #4 receiver. I currently have Campanaro higher on the depth chart than him. He actually has in game experience and has proven to be able to make plays when healthy. I have no expectations for Perriman at this point. To me he's a bust until proven otherwise, that way if he doesn't turn ot to be good, i wont be upset or dissapointed.

Training camp hasn't even begun and the Breshad hate is in full swing. You would think him being on your own team that he would get some compassion some understanding, but not Ravens fans. Fuss Fuss whine and complain it really does get tiresome after a while.

I really don't understand some people's impatience with Perriman.  As long as he's ready to play by the beginning of the season, he'll make some contributions this year.  I don't think anyone should have ever expected him to start this year, barring injuries to other players, as this is basically his rookie campaign.  If we can get a solid 30-40 catches out of him this year, I'd consider that a success (especially with the depth we have at the WR and TE positions).

I assume ur talking bout me. I was the one saying give him a chance, we haven't seen what he can do yet, he hasn't even played a down yet, give him a break, it doesn't show the player he is, etc. when everyone else was calling him a bust. It's simply just frustration. I was just pointing out how everyone is thinking "who's starting next to Perriman," assuming he's gonna start, when they need to be thinking, "Is Perriman going to be #2 or #3?" or "when is he getting on the field?" And ive learned not to give ur hopes up ON ANY PLAYER, not just him, to just wait and see, and tr not to have any expectations. And i was just sharing that. Oh and t's not just ravens fans, people in general, especally fans of ny team, worry and get angry or fustrated when things hppened that they think my hurt them or the team.

Just to clarify how the PUP list works, this list that they are talking about here is the preseason PUP list. If these players are cleared to play any time before week 1 begins, then they can be activated to the 53 man roster before the season begins. If they are still on PUP at the end of preseason, then they will be placed on regular-season PUP, which allows them to return to play week 7 at the earliest, or later if necessary (I think there are 5 weeks of leeway, iirc).

So what this means is that there is still a chance any of these guys on the preseason PUP list can later participate in training camp and/or start the season active week 1. Putting these players on the preseason PUP list is just a prerequisite for being eligible for the regular season PUP list. (For example, Perriman playing 1 day of training camp made him ineligible for the PUP list last year. Had he been injured earlier, he could have been on the preseason PUP, and then later the regular season PUP. Instead, he was rostered almost all season until being put on IR because he wasn't eligible to start the season on PUP.)

Best thing to me is no Flacco on the list.  Joe must have worked his rear  off in rehab!

I am very surprised that Flacco is not on the list. Given that his injury occurred in November and he tore an ACL and MCL, it would seem like he should be on the PUP list until mid season. Even Jordy Nelson is on the PUP list and he tore his ACL in preseason.
