And Campanaro appears on the not practicing list.  It better not be an injury.  Yanda likely a vet day off.

Has Campanero physic change this year?

Im not optimistic about him being reliable to stay on the roster unless something drastic happened with his conditioning.

He doesnt have the body to get hit on the field.

Campanaro was given the day off b/c he did so well the past few days in camp.  Not injury related.  Scroll up.

Anyone know much about Patrick Onwasor?

i seem to remember from when we picked him up as an UDFA that he was a safety that we intended to try out as an ILB. Would guess that would mean he is more mobile than the average inside linebacker.

Reports seem to be that he is playing nasty in camp- lots of big hits and scuffles it sounds like.

An ILB that can cover and lay the big hits sounds like the best of both worlds to me.....but is there any chance of him actually being good?!

Yeah he seems to be ruffling a lot of feathers , esp with the Rbs ..I think he's the one who got Dixon hurt- got into a scuffle with buck Allen and also leveled juice yesterday. Can't say for sure bc obviously I'm just speculating but he seems to have an attitude problem..I know alot of tempers can flare in the heat when the pads Come on with that many guys goin at it but we need our players looking out for one another.

How would his physique play a factor in the injuries he's had?

How does any of that say he has an attitude problem? If he plays physical and someone else gets upset that's not a problem at all.

Kamar Aiken continues to excel

With all this talk of Smith, Perriman, Wallace and Moore, I think Aiken gets lost in the shuffle.

Great to hear he's just quietly grinding and getting the job done. Like Smitty, he truly plays like a Raven - remember him getting right back up after that piledrive? Guts, man, guts.

Olwausor sounds like nothing but trouble.

Not if its against another team. When it's your team mates it's a little different . Esp when players start getting hurt. If it was 1 or 2 incidents that would be one thing...it happens..but I've now heard of three instances where he's caused problems. Its becoming a pattern.

do you honestly think playing defense physically is the byproduct of an attitude problem?

Because others are complaining about being tackled he's the one with the problem?

was it a dirty tackle? Was hitting prohibited? Did he get up then go after the rbs after the play was over?   You've heard of three incidents where he made a tackle and the person tackled was upset. You have not heard of him causing trouble.

I didnt know such thing existed.  But thats good news he didnt get injured.

Maybe a precautionary measure for certain players like Camp is fine.

They've always given players days off especially when you're looking at 90 players to coach and evaluate.

I was an advocate of giving him a multi year contract, especially because I felt it would have been a better deal for the team than signing him this coming off season.  It's a shame because he could be another one of those players we let go for comp picks.  I have no problem with the comp pick formula, but up and coming players like Aiken should be signed.  Same with BWill

Not exactly, he practiced well enough and they elected to give him the second full pads practice day off due to his extensive history of injuries, especially injuries early in the year.  They are not requiring him to be as physical. Canpanaro's roster spot is too valuable to risk upon Canpanaro. He would not get past the first round of cuts if it was up to me.  Besides being injury prone his play, both in the NFL and College, has not been enough to reserve him a roster position.

For similar injury concerns and his age, Yanda is getting time. We cannot afford to lose him this year.

Wallace and Weddle seem so pumped, motivated and excited to be apart of this Ravens team, listening to their pressers. I'm so happy for them and everybody expects great things! I was pulling hard for those two in the offseason to sign here. Can't wait to see what they can do in Baltimore.

It's been said that 2 of the 3 have been out of bounds after the play. That's when it becomes a problem, because that's 15 yards in a game.

Said by who? And let's be clear a hit as the player is running out and a hit while the player is out of bounds and whistle blown are two distinctly different events

Fyi Ravens site didn't say anything about the out of bounds at all. In fact it talks about juice just being upset he was hit hard. It also reads in a manner to show that as a player onwaser as hit any and everything with the same tenacity.

Zrebiec said that the one on Dixon was definitely late and unnecessary.  Looking back, misread on the Buck Allen from Friday, but it was stated it would have been 15 yards (Buck Allen would have got 15 as well), so still unnecessary.

"Rookie undrafted linebacker Patrick Onwuasoricon-article-link.gif continued his physical ways. Onwuasor first decked fellow undrafted rookie defensive tackle Trevon Coleyicon-article-link.gif on a special teams drill. Then he clobbered fullback Kyle Juszczykicon-article-link.gif on 11-on-11 red zone work. Juszczyk didn't appreciate it and got in his face as the two were quickly separated. Onwuasor has now hit rookie Kenneth Dixonicon-article-link.gif, run over Buck Allen and crushed Jusczzyk"

thats the quote from the website...doesn't specifically say that the plays were dirty...but I could certainly sense an implication.

3 Diffrent players getting upset about his hits is a pattern.. And they are vets mind you who know how things should be handled During camp.

I've only read the Ryan mink blurb. Can you link me to the other one?

It was on Twitter somewhere in his thousand tweets since camp started.

I'll preface it by saying that I don't mind the intensity, but he's got to know when to tone it down.  It sounds like it's been a little erratic.

First it doesn't say 3 different players got upset. Second if they did but the hits were clean it's their problem not his.  Only person that was said to got made was juice. So if you could misread that then I'm gonna go ahead and dismiss your attempt to say that the hits were bad to begin with.

Just wanted to add, I recall Onwuasor was kicked out of Arizona for character concerns, so it's legitimate to be cautious with him.

And again what does that have to do with the claims made about him in practice. Not looking for any opinions on what happened. I'm looking for facts on it.  This isn't hard if you think about it people said he was dirty so they can provide factual events.  To point to guys getting tackled getting upset doesn't say if the hit was in fact dirty after all these are testosterone filled athletes playing a contact sport.

I'd hardly call the Secondary and LB's "patchwork" we're probably working with the best Secondary we've had since the Super Bowl(maybe even better), and the LB competition looks very promising. Things are looking up again. (:

our starting FS, wasn't on the team last year, along with our presumed starting nickel - powers, our starting SS wasn't a safety last year, wright, davis been picked up off the heap, throw in some kids - there is no continuity what so ever - i call that patchwork.

Granted it probably is the most talent we've had since the superbowl but I need to see it work together as a UNIT. I can see webb and jimmy getting picked on, i know jimmys coming back from more procedures but him getting burnt by rookies and aiken is doing nothing to reassure me, aj green probably sitting at home licking his lips

just having a core unit intact for the majority of games would be a good start, whether that unit would worry opposing offenses is another story

looking for positive news from both units throughout camp, not hearing it - i dont give a flying rats about tucker bombing 70 yarders in tc - what does the secondary do, whos getting to the qb??

Just curious, why even defend him? He's, at best, sixth on the depth chart currently and he doesn't need to deliver shots that may injure another player.

What makes you say that? Are you watching him live in camp?

every report on here and RSR have said he's struggled big time in every practice so far. Glaringly so.
