I think the worst I've seen was somewhere around -100 or - 120s, but might be wrong.  It was impressive.

Yes, I recall several years ago a post in the realm of the 100's. There was even a running thread commenting on the amount of negs the comment got. Become sort of a contest to get it up as high as possible.

It was a few years back at this point, but if i remember correctly, I think there was a "Ravens should sign Hines Ward" thread that broke records on negs.

Don't forget they could've had Julio or Jj Watt in 11 and traded down to select Phil Taylor.  Then in 12 they missed out some bum name Luke Kuechly to draft the next Jim Brown, in Trent Richardson.  I look at their position and their picks and honestly get upset at how fortunate they are to have they picks.  The problem is, they are so inept they can't do anything with them.  If the Browns had hit on even 50% of these 1st rounders recently, they would have a monster squad.

The really sad part is that it's not even the same GM screwing up. This has been a long line of GMs and multiple owners hiring all these GMs, and not one of them have worked out. It's incredible that they can keep getting inept people in their front office.

That got record negs?  Why. Hines Ward would have made a great Raven. I wonder when this was?

Hines ward never wanted to come here. Just like Terrell Suggs doesn't want to play for Steelers. I know who would be a good QB coach Ravens should grab. Peyton Manning! Why not? He's retired why not give him that opputinity to continue his football career just like Steelers defensive coach Dick LeBeau? When Dick LeBeau retired he became a coach. Why not Peyton Manning become QB coach? Show Flacco how to draw the defensive line off sides.

Is this really a topic lol. I haven't been on in about 2 weeks since it's a no news time but really has threads gotten this bad.

Johnny Manziel thread ??. This team doesn't want players with glaring character flaws at the moment, Manziel already has a pending a suspension that will only get longer and longer as he continues to be in denial about his personal problems.

Also he hasn't done enough to assume he could beat out Mallett as the backup QB surely you wouldn't want the team to waste a roster spot on a 3rd QB for a few gadget plays.

To answer simply, Peyton Manning is too smart. He'd expect way too much when people could not understand what he sees. He's on another level mentally.

"NFL training camps begin at the end of July, and Manziel is still unsigned after being released by the Cleveland Browns in March." Manziel still has a lot of football in him.  He creates positive yardage passing and running the football whenever he is on the field.  Ravens could use Manziel's talents in the slot position as a receiver that can throw the football.  Not just for gimmick plays, but to make the Ravens offense more prolific and less risk to Joe (running for first downs).  Manziel under Ravens coaching staff, could amplify this offense.  Get over the knee-jerk reaction of this proposal and think about the advantages of this versatile player.  Some team will sign him for a song, why not the Ravens?

Are you joking? This guy is one bad decision away from either taking his own life or being jailed. I wish Johny recovers and realizes his potential, but his own father has given up on trying to resurrect him at this point. He needs to be in a facility for a year taking care of his mental health and addiction problems, not on a football team.

The response I want to post would probably be my last straw here so... I don't think it's a good idea to sign him.  Besides the domestic disputes, negative attention/media circus, alleged drug problems, being suspended already on his day off, there is also this big factor that he SUCKS!  Manziel is AWFUL.

I really hope he turns his life around, but I'd give Ray Rice a few more chances before Manziel.  He didn't impress out of college and what game he has was only suited for the amateur level.  He's got a ton of problems and hasn't shown enough NFL ability to chance it.  His decision making was flawed at the pro level.

I agree we need smart QB coach. Thats the best way to generate an offense. I like to see Ravens the highest scoring offense in the NFL like 38 points a game

He's too smart. Peyton would be terrible because he simply sees things other people don't see and would expect way too much.

Even Tony Dungy said this.

Is this the record for most negs from a single post?

This question was already asked on page 2. No, its not. Several years ago we got a post up into the 100's.

Manziel, much like Griffin III, was ruined by hype. Tebow too, frankly. These guys could've been (and in the case of RGIII maybe could still be) decent players in the right scheme but hype led to them all being overdrafted, overestimated, and ultimately overwhelmed. Then the backlash overcorrects and they're pariahs.

Why was this unlocked? come on mods, really???

Was it ever locked?  When? I never saw that.  Threads get locked if they're duplicates, badly hijacked, or major meltdowns.  Otherwise, they just have to die on their own.

That this thread was even started seems to be a major meltdown, to me.

Ray Rice deserves a second chance, too.

It's too late for this.  you've made your bed, etc etc....

Also, Rice has shown that he WANTS to change.
