WOW! That is a huge number for a OLB in my opinion. Granted his presence his felt on the field in every game and undoubtedly is a top five defensive player in the league...but this seems way inflated. So glad this is not a Ravens headline..expectations are a team crippling contract for years to come.

Likely won't be. They aren't paying top tier money to a QB. 

Until the point that they do, which would seem to be many years away, his contract isn't really much more crippling than any other franchise QBs is (such as Joe).

I think it's a good deal for Broncos so they never have to worry about keeping Von Miller. Aside from QB and maybe OL the next most important position is passrusher. Also Von Miller is the biggest single reason they won in the playoffs and the Super Bowl. If there's anyone they should be paying a big contract to it's him. Besides the QB they want to build around will be on a five year rookie contract, so they don't have to pay a huge price for him. And Kubiak doesn't need big name offensive linemen to make his scheme work. They'll be fine.
