We must get back to winning our games at home. I hate losing to teams at home that shouldnt be beating us. Last year was tough...

We need to go 7-1 at home then find 4 wins on the road. My call is a split with the Bengals and Steelers and win both against the Browns.

That's not "The 3 BEST helmets in the NFL" - that's the 3 best helmets in the NFL according to Ike Taylor. So, it's one guy's taste. And are we gonna really start arguing about tates?

If we want to get back to winning games against rivals in the AFCN, we still have a few things to do. We have some money now and I guess we will wait to get some bargains on players that are going to be cut from around the league, but still have something to offer us. I do agree that we need to add depth to our offensive line and then we need to shore up our pass rush and back end. The defensive additions are a must in my opinion if we want to beat the Bengals and Steelers. It seems that the speedy receivers (Cincy) have beaten us on multiple occasions. We have gotten better back there, but I think there is some additions needed.

I believe the media pundits weren't that far off when they picked the Ravens to do very well last year. I think the loss of Suggs set the defense back and it took half the year for them to redefine their identity. Once that happened they were pretty good on defense, not great, but good. However, by that time they were too far behind and then shortly after we lost Flacco. To me, the local pundits who said that we "just lost Suggs" is like saying the chicago fire was a weiner roast or the San Francisco earthquake was a minor tremor. We rely on pass rush to protect our secondary (as does every other team in the league). When we lost the bookend to Dumervil, the loss was compounded because now Doom was doubled and taken out of every game. They are better as a pair than they are with each individuals skillset because the compliment each other and force teams to decide which one they want to block. Given the success I believe they would have had with Suggs, the addition of Weddle, a couple corners, and some more pass rush really makes this defense strong. The only weak link is beside Mosley in the middle. On offense, we should be a 45 point a game team. With who we have in skill positions, we will be cutting people who will start on other teams. Would be nice to use that plethora of talent to lock down an inside linebacker to start beside Mosley. Right now, we have a ton of skill position talent and we also have depth at all those skill positions. Our O-Line will immediately be better with Stanley at LT over Hurst and Urschel will be a pro-bowler, mark my words, something KO couldn't get done. This is the most powerful Ravens offense I have seen since their inception and not only do I believe they will win the division, they could sweep it. Call me a homer, but we have gotten alot better this year and the Bengals and Steelers both took a step backwards. If Flacco can put the ball out in front of Wallace/Perriman and they can catch it, then the running game will go wild this year and we will dominate.

Yeah....this post is way, way, way over the top with over-optimism and homerism. It might be a good idea to temper your expectations. For example: 45 points a game (even 35) is NOT going to happen with this offense and there's no way Urschel is an upgrade over K.O. (unless they go head-to-head in Jeopardy or Trivial Pursuit). Three major things in particular need to change in order to better guarantee success this year: major reduction in penalties, major reduction in injuries, and a big time increase in forced turnovers. Those three areas combined really killed this team last year. Perhaps not the only 3 reasons, but those were three big reasons. Anyway- the Ravens' FO made a lot of solid moves in the right direction this offseason so I too am optimistic that they'll be better than last year. Just not ridiculously, unrealistically optimistic.

O K.....The facts are cincy owns us....that's 0-2.....The clowns have a great new offensive minded coach.....1-1...... win 2 more against the black and yellow and we could actually own the squealers but i think we go 1-1 this year with the black and yellow....let's see that's 2-4......simple but so sad we really need a qb upgrade!

Last year our secondary and special teams were abysmal. The Miami game proved how vulnerable and short visioned the team was in the second half of games. Mistakes and lack of a quality QB were torturous to the fans. We spotted them 15 and lost by 2. Schawb looked like a former shadow of himself. It was pathetic sitting in that humidity watching that crap. We have to establish the offensive power we had in 014 and the stamina to finish as in 012.

Time to dominate at home. No matter what. Aside from health, and contribution from the youth on the team, that is they key to this season and playoff run

Can we add no trolling to the Ravens code of conduct please?

It's already there.

#7. "We need a Qb upgrade" shall not be written or verbally projected.

We should trade for Andy Dalton, he'd look the same in our system with our players because QB stats are individual stats not influenced whatsoever by surrounding circumstances like wins are.....

I hope that is a joke. Dalton is a choke artist in playoffs. He can't win the big game let alone put together a string of wins like Flacco did, which included a Super Bowl win. Dalton can boast about wins in regular season but that's about it, another Romo--they have won nothing.

our special teams unit was the best in the league last year, and what did you expect the offense to do without flacco - and btw shaub isn't on the team anymore

simply put there is a difference in "getting beat" and losing the game. The Ravens should have won 3 of the last 7 games against the Bengals...they lost the the games, they did not get beat. As one could say "the Ravens beat themselves". This is something that can change....it happedned to them during the first 4 years with the Steelers, until they realized they had to stop beating themselves.

We have to beat the Bengals and the Browns twice or at least the Bengals at home.   We need another 12 game win streak against  the Browns
