Now is the time to use that cap space to sign Williams to an extension. Otherwise we are looking at another KO situation.

This is going to be an interesting TC battle for the DL.

Locks in my opinion: B Will, Jerningan, Carl Davis.

KLM missed his first two seasons due to injury and barely played last season. Unless he has a phenomenal camp, I dont see him making the roster.

Henry and Kaufusi will probably make it, that leaves 1 spot available for Guy and Urban to battle for.

I hope Oz is able to get B. Williams signed to an extension and it's just my opinion but the sooner the better.

Agreed, it would be great to get Tucker, Williams, and Wagner done

I could not agree more. With the newer free agency rules those guys will have high price offers in place from other teams at the start of free agency. The Ravens might not even be able to make a competitive offer.

i like our d-line. hopefully williams can be resigned before he hits the market next season. ilb is a concern but i believe a vet will be signed as cuts happen. lt depth concerns me as well

Urban & Jernigan are the two to watch as they have the most potential to help with the pass rush. Willie Henry may be the dark horse candidate to come out nowhere to surprise all.

i truly believe leslie frazier will have some input in the defensive schemes. smart move by harbs to put pressure on pees. d-line will be a strength for us which will help the secondary

I sure hope you're right about Frazier and the D schemes. Pees has never been creative with his game plan or in-game adjustments. Perhaps the addition of Frazier to the staff will rectify that.

Yeah - I don't think Brandon Williams will get extended though. Why would he want to throw away his chances to test the market next summer? It would only make sense if Ozzie threw a lavish, more-than-fair offer at him - which we all know he won't do. I don't see much of a chance that Ozzie will offer him anything above his market value - and that's what it would almost surely require to lock him up this summer...

... especially as there's Timmy Jernigan and Carl Davis behind him on the depth chart.

It's just wishful thinking on my part. Because we both know some team is going to have an offer on the table for him that is going to be loaded with $$$$$.

Good points and I think he'll get at least a fair offer from us but no way we can match what he'd get in FA. This being his first major payday we probably got a better chance of getting a comp pick versus Brandon taking less to stay here.

Not exactly on topic, but... I see Tyler Eifert is said to be likely to miss a couple of regular season games - and this, of course, in one of those rare seasons when we don't play them until week #12...

Doesn't really matter when we play them. Our players have to be up to par to beat the best, if they want to succeed. If anything I want them to face the best every week so that they get better.

Let's face it. Flacco's contract will hamstring this team for the next decade. Average Joe has been more like Joe Blow for the last three years. And every year we hear the same thing. "Joe will be great with all these NEW weapons." Yeah, right. Now they have a rookie at LT, and a math teacher at LG. I'm sure Joe will get that elusive 400 yd. game, and 4,000 yard season in his NINTH year! It took Cousins ONE year, with ALL THOSE WEAPONS he has in DC! The purple Kool Aid continues to flow. Six wins will be a reach.

2030cab, you're just not paying attention! Every team pays big bucks for their QB, not just the Ravens. It's just a cost of doing business in today's offense-happy NFL.

Think back to the days of [insert the LONG list here!] the revolving QB door and how some of the best defenses got wasted in 12-3, 15-10 and other frustrating no-offense games!

I like BW! However, I liked a lot of youngsters that left after their rookie contracts chasing the money. The difference now is that the guys behind them are pretty good too!

As to Cousins in his first year: The 'Skins have been a pass-happy team in a weak NFC East while the Ravens have followed a smash-mouth philosophy (run first, field position, vertical attack when possible) in the toughest division in the NFL.

We'll find out this year if the Ravens trust in Flacco was warranted but I believe it absolutely was and will be. Keep in mind, winning is what matters to teams not individual stats. Winning and staying healthy. Do you realize that Flacco on those two metrics combined is about as good as it gets?

Also, QB salaries are a function of the time, not Joe Flacco. He wouldn't be making what he is making if there wasn't precedence. He is also a sincere, honest and straight forward, hard working QB who doesn't make excuses and the perfect face for the franchise. These types don't grow on trees. When you get such a QB, you latch on to him for dear life and that's what the Ravens have done.

Lastly, everybody knows that when Flacco is on, he is unstoppable and perhaps the most effective QB in the league. With deep weapons like Wallace, Moore and Perriman and steady hands of SSS and Aiken with a horde of pass catching TEs', I see those stats being realized on an individual level too. Just wait and watch and even you'll be surprised at how good Flacco can be.

If they didn't have AJ Green and Eifert, the Bengals would have never beaten us the past couple of seasons...

Unlucky for us, they have both of them...

I'm optimistic that this year will produce different results. The secondary got better and d-line will do well IMO

Biggest ? I have is the ILB position

The D line looks great. Really hope we resign BWill very very soon. Best true NT in the NFL no question. The real question is Inside LB. Why on earth don't we trade for Navarro Bowman?!?!?!?!
