2016/2017 season bold predictions

75 posts in this topic

dixon will make OROY and correa will be in the running for DROY playing a off the ball LB role.

we only have a 8 or 9 win season because we have so much youth and a few holes, but we show tons of promise for the next year and have a strong draft and live up to those expectations with a SB 52 appearance .

Webb is a top flight FS

Jerraud powers becomes the guy who allows our defense to turn around by being the nickel corner we have lacked for so long and our secondary becomes elite with us finally having some good depth.

One of our TEs makes the pro bowl.

Mosley in contention for DPOY.

suggs and dumervil begin to seriously show age and a lack of pass rush is again our biggest hindrance, prompting big moves to fix it the following year but then our young edge rushers step up and suddenly we have an embarrassment of riches there.

I'm looking way into the future on some of these but I couldn't really help it

Matt Elam steps up into the third safety role and thrives as in box safety with fewer roles and responsibilites.

When Webb goes down with injury for a couple games, Elam steps into the SS role and earns a new contract.

I think Ozzie would like this prediction a lot.

Bengals win the Super Bowl.

Let's wait for them to win a playoff game first shall we?

Here's a bold prediction. Perriman starts off slow at the beginning of the season due to being out of the game for awhile and needing to get in rhythm with Flacco. However, he clicks with Flacco, and easily becomes the top WR of the team for the last six or so games. His top game will be against the Patriots, where it'll seem like they just don't have anyone that can cover him.

To kind of piggy back off this -

Perriman has a stretch at the end of the season, plus maybe the playoffs, where he is a top 5 WR in the league over that span. Like, over the final 6 games of the season he has top 5 yardage total.

I agree with this prediction. The Patriots always struggled against Torrey Smith. Perriman will be better than Torrey Smith if he can get over these stupid injuries that happen. He was a more raw and shorter than Kevin White and a lot faster than Kevin White going into that draft. His upside is through the roof on this team he couldn't of landed anywhere better offense wise.

Actually quite the opposite. With a properly timed 40 I think we would have seen very even times, and perriman is not more raw than Kevin white who really only showed route prowess on slants where he had a knack for breaking really sharp, everything else was all speed and reach. He also has a fadeaway catching style as opposed to perrimans "stop, turn, and explode" to the ball style. The only spot where one could say perriman is more raw is his head and shoulders in his routes are too telling.

I thought Kevin white was overrated for most of the draft process for these reasons, and while I wasn't a big perriman I'd say both he and Kevin white were late teens-early 20s prospects.

Not a single Rookie is a starter Day 1 :(

Wallace is number 1 receiver for Ravens in Receiving yards and catches

Arthur Brown has breakout Season as ILB,  gets HUGE contract from Cleveland

I'm just curious who could possibly beat out Stanley for the LT position?

Prediction: After leaving the Ravens, Eugene Monroe will retire. It's like I'm psychic or something and totally didn't post this after he announced his retirement
