NFL.coms fan vote for favorite game to put on YouTube

26 posts in this topic

I can understand why younger fans would vote for these three 2012 playoff and Superbowl games. But I am not the average younger fan. I would have voted for the 2000 playoff game against the titans. Anybody who saw that game might agree. That 2000 team would easily beat the 2012 team. That's my opinion of coarse. But I have the complete set of 2000 playoff DVDs and I know a lot about that team.

Gotta agree, although the 2012 playoff run was amazing... that 2000 defense was legendary.

It's tough thinking of any team that would've had success against it. Man, do I miss the old days

That Titans game was classic, but for.the amount of games they can out, they are good choices as well.  Nothing like being able to see us beat down the Pats for a half of football, in their house.

If the NFL were smart, they would make all games available on DVD, Blu-ray or download.

I recon it would not be overly costly and could be quite lucrative for the NFL.

I've been around since their inception. So the 2000Titans game was great because there was some serious bad blood between the players and coaches. Legit. Worse than any Steelers rivalry. Plus Lewis v George. The 12 Ravens v Broncos was such a great game that featured so many edge of your seat plays. Kickoff returns. Int returns. Huge downfield passing. Both uniquely good. But those should be the top 2 imo.

Not sure which game I'd want to see most, but I will list a few that I wouldn't mind seeing again.

That 2003 Seahawks game when Anthony Wright and Marcus Robinson hooked up to pull one of the best comebacks in Ravens history. Even though we got a extra 4th down play we weren't supposed to have lol.

That 2007 Pats game at home. Even though it was a loss, it was great to see Boller finally showcase the potential the Ravens drafted him for. Even my FSU guy Devard Darling had a good game. Painful finish but was great to see the Ravens battle even in a losing season.

2011 Cardinals comeback game. That's one of my favorite Flacco games. He got destroyed in the first half of that game and was let down by dropped passes and poor protection. But in the 2nd half he was lights out and delivered some dimes all over the field.

The 2013 GB game. Again another loss but for a low scoring game between two depleted offenses, I thought both Flacco and ARod put on a show at the QB position. Always been a Flacco fan, but I came away from that game knowing that if the Ravens ever surround Flacco with legit talent he'd definitely be mentioned with guys like Rodger in the NFL. Also for the Monroe fans, that the game he completely whiffed on his block before the half that led to a sack fumble that allowed the Packers who won by 2 to kick a FG.

Obviously there are more exciting games then the ones I named, but those are games i'm not sure many people would select but I'd like to see them again.

I understand what your saying. If you can watch it on dvd why put it on YouTube. But they asked for your favorite game to put on YouTube and that is my favorite game ever. I can still see ray stealing that ball from Eddie and running for a touchdown

I actually think the 2000 Ravens vs 2012 Ravens scenario would be close, not because the 2000 defense wasn't legendary but because the 2000 offense was beyond pedestrian. It would be a low scoring affair and the 2012 offense wouldn't need to do all that much, especially in the the type of form they were in during that postseason. They shredded the 49ers defense pretty good early in that game and that was probably one of the best defenses of the last decade.

I would give the 2000 Ravens squad the edge but like I said, it would probably be close and I could see the 2012 defense putting the clamps on the 2000 offense.

Like Ray said just get us ten points and it's all over. That 2000 offense wasn't so bad they had some excellent players. The weakness in my opinion was quarterback. But all he had to do was give the ball to Jamal and pass the ball to Shannon and Qadry And Patrick and nobody was going to get around that left side of that offensive line and Harry wasn't bad on the right side.

The sad part is that 2000 Ravens' offense had the pieces to be good. Ismail was a solid deep threat, and Jamal Lewis was amazing. But the QB play (aside from the Super Bowl) and the OC were awful for the most part.

Would've been ridiculous if we had a quality QB back then. But we did have a clutch kicker

Selections are horrible. The 2000 afc ship simply doesn't belong on there. I'll take quite a few regular season games over that in terms of entertainment. Tennessee in the playoffs in 00 and 08, SD regular season 06 and 09, @pit 2010 and 11, These games were all wildly entertaining and as far as I can remember the 00 championship was a total bullying of one offense and the ineptitude of another.

Most of those games I have never seen but since you seem to know more than I do I would certainly like to see them. That Tennessee game was a fight between two teams that hated each other. Even before the game started they put things said by the Ravens on their big screen and got the fans upset. I saw Shannon on the sideline saying  yeah we said it whatever you say we said we said it or something like that. I love that game. It was a real grudge match.

They need to make their version of Netflix for fans to stream for a good monthly price. Upload every game from each season available, when a season is done upload the previous season sometime in the Summer. Upload every single NFL Draft, they can put every single Hard Knocks, A Football Life, etc.

WWE has done this with their massive library with the WWE Network and an NFL version would be huge.

Whatever they said we said we said it! Lol I love that line, that exemplifies the attitude of that team. The 00 divisional game vs Tennessee was far more epic than any ravens Steelers showdown in the harbaugh era

I still love the AFC Divisional game in Denver in 2013. That was probably the most mixed feelings I had going into a game. I mean the Ravens scored a late touchdown in each half to tie it up before and then won in double overtime against Peyton Manning. Flacco outplayed him by just that much.

Also the Vikings game like two years ago where there were like 5 scores in 2 minutes near the end was a fun one to watch. The Ravens really want me to break things.

Just out of curiosity, what were the other options?

Didn't know this was happening, though.

Yes I have the Denver game. My grandfather buys me all the games that are on dvd.  There are many games that i love. I loved how the crowd was high fiving and congratulating each other and then the miracle. I'll never forget.

The Ravens were riding that magic pixie dust for sure in the 2013 playoffs. I remember them going into the Colts game and the Colts as a wildcard and a rookie quarterback were favored. Then the Ravens were outnumbered 90 to 1 in Denver's favor and they won. Then they basically shut out New England in the second half. Then there was the huge plays everywhere in the Super Bowl. If the offense could get back the big play potential I think the Ravens can make some noise.

We weren't supposed to win any of those games. Since this is about youtube check out America's game  the 2000 ravens and American's game the 2012 ravens. I think you will learn a lot about the ravens attitude and where play like a raven came from. And why I love my Ravens.

Boldin put the team on his back in the second half of that game. He was fired up and I became a serious fan of his after that game. One of my favorite games.

My first game watching the Ravens was the super bowl. Anquan looked like the best receiver in football to me. So I couldn't understand why they got rid of him. But now I do. Every year they have to sacrifice good players because of the cap. I really liked that game against the Vikings in the snow it was like they were playing here where snow is on the ground nearly all winter. I think they might have set a record for points scored in the final two minutes, not sure.

Yea that one handed sideline catch was great. That game gave me flashbacks of FSU and early Cardinals Q
