I still think that Flacco is all the quarterback we need and more. However, the problem now is that the Front Office has allowed the team to deteriorate around him, both offensively and defensively.  (Worse yet, seeing how they didn't appreciate the chemistry, I'm now convinced the aggregation of the Championship team was mostly luck.) Flacco is 31 years old, his window of opportunity was upon us when Newsome made the decision to rebuild the championship team and jettison key contributors and Flaccos favorite weapon.  Everything that has gone South since those purges has been the result of Front Office scrambling to undo the harm of the purge.

Realizing Flacco was gonna miss Boldin they sign an injured Pitta.  I won't get into how the Boldin Cap Savings was squandered due to bad decision making. Having purged their safeties they draft an unqualified Elam. Having missed on Elam, they have gambled on Free Agents that really weren't up to the task. They just gotta have Monroe and then they don't to more dead money. Our receiving corps has been horribly neglected under Flacco, for crying out loud, look who our leading receiver was last year!

You think the Monroe purge was quizzical? To my eye its the same move as stranding Elam without a mentor. This time it's Stanley and yeah, he needs some help.  I just don't get it, but I'm convinced Newsome is older than his years.

Flacco has about 4 more years.  Will the team he needs be there for him during his window of opportunity? It's a stretch.

Couldn't have said it better. The team has went from drafting BPA pro bowl building block players to patchwork need picks like Elam,Brown Perriman, scrubshaw. The science used  for filling wrs is now being applied to various positions. Correa is the latest reach. However he could be  a very good lb and difference making blitzer but he has to learn the position. He is raw as a lb. Ravens could of picked more pro ready lbs. However if Correa picks up the position and coverage duties his blitzing will be a very unique x factor. I have not liked Ozzies drafting for years now but this is the best class in my opinion. I agree Stanley needs to get stronger and its not an option. but he could be one of the best. And I agree Joe cool is far good enough!! His weapons have been terribly ignored. Ozzie seems totally oblivious to aging and free agent players and scrambles to replace them after retirement or signing elsewhere. Perriman was a panic pick cuz the wrs needed speed. His knee problem was ignored. Now management has went to the opposite extreme of ignoring all players with any kind of injury. Joe Cool could be a top 7 an if given oline and weapons. And it would not surprise me if he were top4 if ravens get a legit #1. Not saying a Julio Jones freak. But a wr that can win on every level and multiple dimensions. The kind of wr respected that opens up teammates.

Think we could get by a day or two without having to see pictures of Forsett or Smith or every member of their family? Unless, you're a member of the family, who really cares?

Stafford, Romo and Kaepernick should be 2-4 because they did not accomplish the teams goals and one,in particular was disregarded  (Kaep)

At least Forsetts' kid wears an authentic fire fighters uni. I appreciate that as I am in that business.

Completely unrelated but does anyone know when the field turf will start being sold as souvenirs?

You may want to post a question in the Forums - you'll have a better chance to get a relevant answer there.

We actually don't currently know more than this, so the forums IS your best hope.

The receivers Joe had since 2012 has not been as good as then. Yea Steve is on the team but Joe had Torry, Pita,6 and Bolden .This team has totally fallen apart since 2012 and the failure of picking god draft picks and increased the reason Ravens are finishing third place. Browns will not be the cellar dwellers much longer. The odds are against it.

I actually believe the team has more talent than 2012 offensively. Steve Smith > Boldin you can argue with me all day if you like. Between Mike Wallace, Breshad Perriman, and Moore > Torrey Smith and Jacoby Jones (offensively). Watson, Pitta, Gillmore, and Williams > Pitta and Dickson.

The team struggled with injuries last season and another coordinator doesn't help. Sure it may have not been the problem early but the Ravens between 4 quarterbacks, a million receivers, and a couple tight ends and running backs they were in the top half of the league in offense (14th). That is better than 16th that they were in 2012 the super bowl season.

The Ravens have great talent all around. Just because of a few busts with high round picks does not mean they failed drafting. Usually higher draft picks have a higher chance of being starters. The Ravens found their starters in the later rounds the past couple seasons.

And even if the Ravens have finished in 3rd place of the division the last two seasons... In 2014 they went farther in the play offs than the Bengals and Steelers and were ahead of the eventual super bowl champs for 3 and a half quarters in Gillette Stadium. The Ravens were the most complete team in the AFC North 2 seasons ago before the injury bug of last season.

“Joe Flacco is another Super Bowl-winning quarterback who is getting paid more-so because he won a ring, rather than for how well he’s expected to perform going forward,” wrote PFF’s Nathan Jahnke.

This has always been one of the dumbest arguments I have ever heard. I guess Jahnke is different than the rest of us, his paycheck on Friday is for what he's going to work next week?

You get paid for the work you've done, not the work you're going to do.

Well, yes and know. What you did helps to determine how valuable you are and will be.

But anytime somebody receives an increase in pay, they also generally receive an increase in expectations and generally responsibilities. If you're paying somebody more to do the same amount of work, then you're a terrible business owner and likely won't last as one.

That's more of the emphasis these articles are saying.

2 things affected Joe's performance. 1) Lack of a consistent Left Tackle Blind side stability, and 2) Loss of weapons. Boldin traded, Pitta injured, Torrey eventually gone, Jacoby fizzled out and gone

I certainly hope that you're available to straighten this out. We need you at least to advise Erik in the future.

I think its "Eric", but I won't be available.  The only individual I would offer advice to is Bisciotti. It is simple advice and can be said in six words.

There are a lot of bad contracts done on this team.

Not anymore there really isn't.

Doesn't really matter what was done in the past, because that doesn't help the current or future team.
