When living out of state (watching games)

5 posts in this topic

As some know, I'm moving to Florida officially Sunday.  My building will not allow dishes (the HOA thinks they're fancy and classy I guess).  I called Direct TV about a dishless subscription to NFL Sunday Ticket (mobile, app...whatever), but the rep was useless after 40 minutes.  Rather than calling back and getting someone else, figured I'd check in here and see what others are doing to view the games out of state.  I don't want to run crappy streams or anything.  I want a permanent solution.

Thanks in advance!  (and yes, I'm sure searching would result in something, but I'm lazy and too busy packing and trying to not take my life with the stresses of a 5 state move with 3 kids 5 and under).

There is a service available for non-Directv subscribers that will allow you to purchase Sunday Ticket online.

Your best option is probably to get back on the phone with Directv and find out precisely who qualifies for this and who doesn't.

Or, go to a bar for every game.

Heres the problem. I live down Florida during from October - middle of May. I live near west palm beach. Thats Dolphins territory..  If Ravens play in Miami you might not see that game locally. But if Dolphins play in Baltimore then you can see that game.

Unlike the DC area, where the Redskins are shown every week and the Ravens are on about 95% of the time as its their secondary market and the one of the people who works at WUSA 9, a CBS affiliate used to work for the Ravens, it also helps  that we're in the AFC and their in the NFC, otherwise during the regular season, I doubt, we'd see as many games if they were both in the same conference.
