interesting game, move 10. Nc3 left John with a backward pawn on c3, very difficult to defend. Is there a PGN of this game it would be cool to analyze the moves with a chess engine. John should play 3.d4. There is a lot more opening theory to learn, but with the Alapin white gives up any advantage.

Had to go away from the keyboard before I could finish my comment, but that had to be one of the most awesome moments in Johns life to play a blitz game against one of the top five chess players in the world! What an honor!

Is anyone concerned about all the talk about John Urschel as a math genius and chess player? I mean, I haven't seen one article on this guy about his talent on the football field! Is he a good football player or not? Not complaining, just curious if anyone else has noticed the same thing.
