[News] Elvis Dumervil Plans To Return To Top Sack Duo With Terrell Suggs

18 posts in this topic

I wouldn't bet against Dum.... people have been betting against that man his entire college and pro career and all he has ever done was prove them wrong!

Not too worried about Doom... I'm just hoping we see the in-shape and motivated Suggs... not the other one.

I think Elvis hit on a great point...rotation...keep rotating all these guys so everyone stays healthy and fresh.  Sounds like a winning strategy to me.

Good point. Disappointed last year when Sizzle came in and said he wasn't at his fighting weight. Why not? For the millions you are getting paid that should not even be a question.

I'm just looking forward to seeing Suggs in front of a microphone again. Haven't heard that man speak to reporters in so long. I miss the guy. Tell us everything is gonna be alright, Siz. Even if it's a lie, it'll mean something coming from you. I'll feel a lot better about our post-season chances this year.

Look forward to seeing 55 and 58 on the field together again. Also hope they teach the young bucks how it's done.. if that happens sacks should come a lot more often. Leading to the back field playing more freely, and hopefully more interceptions.

September can't come fast enough!!!.. Ravens Football

glad to hear Suggs still has the fire. But he and Dumervil are on the downside of their careers. The Ravens need to approach Brandon Williams, one of the best lineman in the league, about and extension.

What Im hearing sounds great, that said, its going to be hard as heck to get rid of players you really want to keep, may the best player win, Good luck to this great team and John,

Cant wait to see these guys at it again.
1. I hope Sizzle shows up at fighting weight this year.
2. People and analysts will use the age issue, forgetting that these guys have technique and really good football awareness. It's a trench fight, not a 100m sprint.
3. These are 2 real men, or, alpha males as Doom puts it.
They will dominate the player across the LOS.

The only thing that will affect their total sacks is the linebackers. Quick passers can defeat Suggs and The Doom but not if C.J and whoever can make the QB hesitate due to their ability to defend against the pass and disrupt their play. I'm not concerned with Joe & Receivers, Run game, the defense front, the DB's will start out slow but they will get better. Just linebackers and Joe's protection.
