"Joe walked over to me and said, 'There is nothing you need to be ashamed of. The impact you've made on us in a short amount of time has taken people years to do. You make me better. Whatever you decide, you need to be proud of that.'" Smith recalled. "That broke me down."

But Flacco's not a leader, right pundits?

Looking at the Dr's comments on Perriman's "possible" return dates they seem more probable then Harbaugh stating he'll be back during training camp.

After last year's debacle regarding Perriman's return, I really wish coach would stop trying to guess when he's going to return.

Excellent comment. Leaders are those people who get in the front and take charge and people follow. Those who scream and holler and get into people's faces, must feel as though they need to do that to get people to follow them but those who are really leaders know that even with all the hollering, you can't lead anything from the rear. Too many times people take being quiet as a weakness in a leader but history has shown that those who "walk quietly and carry a big stick" are the true leaders. Joe is the Paul Bunyan of the Ravens...

Seriously Ryan?....perriman on the roster?...what a Complete waste of space!......especially when Clay is a proven(actually suits up and wants to play) Why would anyone in our organization actually think keeping this guy is going to ever help us......Ridiculous!(in Judge Judys voice)....Cut that guy now unless we really need another gold medal towel appropriator...............Wake UP front office!

No. No. No. Stop. Breshad Perriman will be ready for TC. Say it aloud Ryan Mink. No more playing with the fans' emotions. One year was enough.

Remind me why you're a Ravens fan again. As I recall it, you NEVER have anything positive to say about the Ravens.

Maybe the doctors who treated Perriman know something that the others don't. Otherwise, I have no idea why Harbaugh would say he should be back by training camp. That just puts Perriman at risk for more criticism from the fans and media if he's not ready by then. Not that any of that outside noise should matter, but no one wants to be a disappointment to their home fans, and I don't think a coach should risk setting up his young player to be publicly bashed like that.

I think it's also very possible, or even likely, that Perriman spends the first few weeks of training camp doing individual drills before he starts with full contact and team drills.  If he comes back for the last week of camp and last pre-season game or two, then that'll give him enough time to get acclimated before the season starts.  If he's not ready to start practicing until right before the season, I'd expect that he might even be inactive for the first 4-6 weeks.

Thank God we're putting our players on natural grass for home games going forward. You can't prevent foot and ankle injuries, but you can certainly reduce the likelihood of them happening. Grass goes a long way in that regard.

I don't think Harbs is going to go easy on him. On one hand, yes we do just want to get him into action for a real game because - come on already. On the other hand, you can't not practice like you play and expect to be anything more than a WR4. If he can't ever get to the point of getting through practices like the rest of the team, then he doesn't deserve to start. Plain and simple.

I think Bohica5 or Crusader are secretly Mike Preston, and he just comes on here to troll fans.

Welcome to Ravens Nation!  You are a lot closer to Buffalo and New England, but you picked the right team.  ;)

Nothing positive about perriman being on this roster......he's taking a spot that someone can actually take!!

He's definitely not a negative b/c he's never had a chance to play good or bad.

I am as frustrated as anyone concerning Perriman, but he will defintely be on this years roster , the Ravens would not give up on a first rd draft pick , at least not until he plays , . The news on his knee was disappointing at best, but after he catches that first 70 yard touchdown from Flacco , I bet most fans will forget about his bum knee...
