A bunch!  Heap, Haloti, Reed and Jamal top the list for me. All have produced extraordinary memories.

I dont know why, as much as i always appreciate Ngata and know he was great for us, i never really liked him liked him. Loved having him on our team, but wasnt a guy whose jersey i wanted to buy or anything like that.

lol  No problems and no offense taken, though I did find your post curious.

I immediately loved The Tongan Beast because he was an insane athlete that had skills that usually don't exist in a man his size.(Can you imagine playing rugby against him?  no thanks!)  And I always admired how he went about his job with a quiet passion and rage, a certain sense of humility if you will, Much like Heap and Jamal carried themselves.

Heap was exceptional and really sacrificed himself for the team. I feel bad that he had to play with Boller.

Made the spectacular look routine.

I'm a contrarian, so while Ray is clearly the best ravens player ever, my personal favorite is Derrick mason. He was so fun to watch, he was little, old, and slow, but he couldn't be stopped, he was so quick and imo he was the greatest route runner to ever play, I've never seen a guy so precise and technical and it was all 2nd nature to him, he could wiggle himself into box out position and outleap guys even though he was little(so many times he would be behind a defender, cut back and slide past the defender to box him out, impressive) and I'll never forget in 07 when he made bellihick cuss him out because he was wearing their defense out and he hopped up and ran his mouth to Bill. He was awesome.

I was coming here to say Derrick Mason. I forget which game it was, but he had tore his shoulder up somehow, but still had a huge game catching balls with one arm. That game and the game Yanda played a couple days after ankle surgery and had the bloody sock are two games they should show rookies what it is to be a raven.

I haven't been here long and have only seen maybe 8 or 10 games since the super bowl which is when I became a fan. I have a favorite player but there is one player that I wish was on this team now. He played like his life depended on it. I don't know that I have ever seen a player play harder. I have only seen him on the 2000 ravens  playoffs and Superbowl DVD.  His name is Michael McCrary.

Maybe not favorite of all time but my 1st fave. I remember him making tackles on SpTeams and just always being stoked. He made the 1st tackle I believe for the Ravens on the opening kickoff against the Raiduhs. Just had to give him some love especially for some of you younger guys who might not have heard of him.

Bennie Thompson.

Is this best Raven's player or favorite?  Best is Ray hands down, although J.O. is a step behind him for me, and Ed Reed a step behind J.O.  But my favorite Raven of all time is Peter Boulware.  One, I'm an FSU fan, and two, I loved his approach to the game - super intense on the field, but he wasn't an "in-your-face" kind of jerk (the ref chasing notwithstanding).

A warrior.  By any definition.
If this video don't make you proud get off these boards.

He really wanted to win at all costs. He played when most players would have been on the bench.

I was a big fan of Bart Scott while he was here. I also love me some Joe Flacco, he cracks me up... But my favorite is Ed Reed, no  question

My favorite? Ed Reed. When I was young (before I started to follow the NFL) and played football with my friends in my old neighborhood, I never cared to play defense. After watching Ed Reed, I almost BEGGED to be the safety every time I played just so I can be a ballhawk. Such an inspiration to me lol.

An outside and off the wall favorite of mine is Tony Banks. He engineered a stunning comeback against the Jags in 2000 that my oldest son and I got to see live. Hair on fire exciting!  Also Tony's brother happens to be a long time golf buddy of mine.  lol

I probably have a favorite Raven, but I'm afraid to say his name for fear of offending all the other ex Ravens I love.  Three of my favorites are still on the team.  What is sobering however is many of my favorite Ravens, did not retire, nor leave on their own accord.  A very troubling trend.

Regarding the golf game, I found the left side again and the lead through the slot.  For the first time in years I can apply the right hand and am  doing so late when it matters.  The sound of impact is deafening and the flight is boring and ascending, that with an 8.5 degree 425 clubhead.  Not Dustin Johnson mind you, but not all that far off.  When one is really crushing it at the driving range one really draws a crowd.  Kind of like the Raven's did before the decline.

Very hard question with so many to choose from. It would have to be #52 Ray Lewis for me but so many more are so close. When you start thinking back through the years man that's hard so many great players.

Sam Adams, Justin Bannan, Anquan Boldin, Haloti Ngata, Jermaine Lewis, Peter Boulware, OJ Brigance, Dennis Pitta, Elvis Dumervil, Dwan Edwards, Joe Flacco, Kelly Gregg, Tony Siragusa,  Derrick Mason, Ben Grubbs, Samari Rolle, Jonathan Ogden, Todd Heap, Priest Holmes, Qadry Ismail, Trever Pryce, Jarret Johnson, Vonta Leach, Jamal Lewis, Ed Reed, Brandon Stokley, Willis McGahee, Bernard Pollard, Deion Sanders , Shannon Sharpe, Adalius Thomas, Justin Tucker and the list keeps going.

'Cmon Dan, stop with the negative waves. The sanctioned corporate structure of today's NFL does not allow for our favorites to always be on our team for their entire career. It's just part of the game and it seems the Ravens do better than most in making the tough decisions. You should really look around and realize this is true. It's not a decline, it's an inevitable cycle.

lol.    Gotta love the description of your tee ball. But the old saying still, and always will hold true..........drive for show, putt for dough!

Absolutely. Also, if boldin catches that game winner in Pittsburgh I think we at least go to 3 straight from 2011 to 2013. And If torrey catches it or at least makes an effort to give us another chance, then we very well could have been looking at 4 out of 5.. Crazy to think how close the ravens are to being a unquestioned dynasty yet still so far. Unrelated and hypothetical though lol

But yeah, mase all the way. I actually might buy his jersey this season instead of getting a player who likely leaves lol

Sorry. I had to thumbs down your post. You literally broke my heart 4 times in one paragraph lol

Wow! That's an impressive list right there. A memory pops up with every name I read.

Deion Sharp and now SSS. 3 studs that should have been Ravens years earlier!

People around here keep forgetting Ngata. That guy was a freakin machine!

Oh and Jamal freakin Lewis!!! Never have I seen a nastier team in my life. We'd send our D to punch you in the mouth. Then hand it to Jamal to punch you some 30 times more. Then punch you in the mouth every time you stop him.

good days Gooos! Just another nasty nasty player in the best way possible!

and then you mention Pollard and Leach. POP! Was something they both brought every game. Pollard popped like 10 guys that season and teams literally avoided throwing inside. And leach oh my my my. Every game, he'd put a licking on a linebacker or 2. Secondary guys used to duck and cover when they see him runing down hill.

and of course Ray Lewis and Ed Reed. The reason I fell in love with this team

This is a very hard question so many players to choose from. I agree with every point you made.
