I forgot to mention Daryl Smith, Haloti Ngata, etc. All guys that they let go randomly. It aint like we had elite players behind them waiting to make plays. Of course Im looking forward to guys like Urban, Correa, and others to make a huge impact. The difference is now this team is making gambles on these guys. We used to know for sure who was going to step in and perform to expectations of a stellar defense.

Ngata last yr didn't produce like Williams did.  Daryl was losing snaps at the end of last yr. nothing random about their departures.

Honestly, Im wondering if were continuing to go downhill. BESIDES MONROE, we have been letting our vets or elite players go without having a sure player that has proven worthy to replace. They released Torrey Smith without a viable replacement. Anquan Boldin departured, SSS is good but not as durable as Boldin. Courtney Upshaw is gone, and to be clear WE DO NOT have a viable replacement for him. You guys can talk all you want about our rookies but the fact is we don't know if any of them can deliver. We used to release our vets only when we had a guy behind them that was ready to deliver full time. We had a disciplined system years ago..

But we did sign Weddle and Watson, proven veterans. SSS is just as durable as boldin before last year so you cant predict injuries like that. If boldin gets hurt this year, your statement would be determined invalid.

Also, please get your facts right before you criticize Ravens FO. Ravens did NOT release Torrey smith, he was a free agent and got paid more than he is worth. It is part of business, you can't keep everyone every year. Every teams deal with this The champions learn how to replace them and know who which to keep under the cap space.

combined, weddle, watson and sss are 120 years old- this team needs younger and better talent- time to get a new gm?

You might need to use a calculator in future, 31 + 35 + 37 does not get you 120.

Monroe is unmotivated, at the end of his career, not fully healthy, smoking marijuana, not getting reps etc, and that is right now. 2 years ago Harbaugh benched the guy for his lackadaisical performance. He is being out shined by a #1 draft pick with talent. There is NO reason to carry 6 million dollars for even 1 more day! There are young players on the team now that can produce better than his history with the Ravens...fact. Monroe has to agree to a contract, he was not going to, he wanted to be released Im sure once the shopping was in focus. If we are talking about risk, he was not worth the money the Ravens invested or had left on the contract to keep him. End of story on this one,

Marijuana has a direct impact on short term memory, as well as focus and under the influence memory. How can a football player, or any sports player be at his best if the short term memory is impacted? To learn a playbook, schemes, assignments, study tape and practice all takes extreme focus, memory and repetition. These are ALL greatly diminished during the influence of Marijuana.
