Well, thats good news, IF he can get on the field this year. Unfortunately, I have seen this movie before, so we shall see IF and when he actually suits up. Good luck

I'm just thankful we got good news on the injury front. I'm hoping this trend continues for 2016 and we stay relatively healthy. Now Breshad needs to rehab like crazy and try his best to make it by the start of the season. I think he will.

I am not going to be a negative spirit....This is fantastic news for Breshad, and I hope he can remain healthy and finally get on the field. Nobody dreams of making it to the NFL, only to never put on the pads and play a down.

Great news for Breshad! Good luck young man. And for all of you fair weather fans who just want to be negative, maybe now you can take a chill pill? If not go root for another team.

Breshad deserves some good news. Hoping this is a springboard for about 60 catches with a 15 + yard average next year.

Take things slow, Breshad and then take the top off the defenses when the game matters.

Thank God. A little bright spot for him in a year of one tragic thing after the next. I'm still going to keep praying for him.

Rosterwatch has an excellent analysis article on Perriman and what is really going on.

Yeah, even the "good news" doesn't bode that well, given last year's story. If it's a partial tear (like last year), and he got stem cells (like last year), can we expect anything better (than last year)??

Some fans are never satisfied geez.

Absolutely. The injury happened about a month and a half earlier than last year. He started practicing after about 9 weeks last year before he retore it. Just because he had a setback last year doesn't mean he'll have one this year. It would be silly to expect things to happen exactly the same as they did last year. Every injury is different, and what happened last year was extremely uncommon.

Problem is this…. You have a guy who apparently injured his leg to the extent that Ravens training staff saw so much play in his knee that they thought he had at least a partial tear of the ACL. Now after all the knee issues he suffered from last year, to have that much play in the knee it caused them to send him to Dr Andrews to only be told there is not a tear, then where did all that play in his knee come from? And with that play is it just a matter of time before something else blows up? Granted, everyone is gun shy because of last year, but I don’t understand how we went from having swelling and so much play in his knee that it causes a panic and then we find out nothing is wrong. Something is wrong alright and is it with the Ravens training staff who clearly don’t have a clue on how to diagnose knee issues. This is the same training staff that said after last years injury he would only miss a week or two. Now this same staff says Perriman has a blown ACL and is done for the year and Dr Andrews says nothing is wrong. Time for the Ravens to fire their doctors and get someone in there who knows something about professional football injuries. Clearly these docs don’t know their backside from a hole in the ground.

all the hate and vitriol this guy and ozzie got from Ravens "fans" yesterday is sickening. you don't practice sports medicine or know his individual situation but all who are so quick to jump on this kid and dish the bust label need to look inside at yourselves and see what type of pessimistic negative people you are. Don't delude yourselves into thinking you are pragmatic or a realist. Furthermore now that you have said these things pride is taking over and you are now saying things like "he will be hurt soon" and "he will never contribute". It is an absolutely appalling and disgusting thought process to have and you all should be ashamed of yourselves. Those of you who have supported and had words of hope and encouragement for the young man please disregard this message.

This is great news to hear that he can play. My next question is who are the doctors conducting these examinations? I mean Dr. James Andrews could probably do knee surgeries in his sleep but how did it get out that his ACL was torn when it wasn't? What doctor in the Ravens training room is giving bad info or is this the same one that gave the diagnosis last year about this guy having a sprain then we never see him again because he tore his PCL.

Umm.... a sprain is a stretched or torn ligament. So yes, he said it was a sprain because Perriman had a torn PCL. And Dr. Andrews examined Perriman yesterday and it came out that he had a partially torn ACL. It wasn't until he was able do arthroscopic surgery that he realized the injury wasn't that bad.

Pretty much all we can really do at this point. It will be exciting if he can play, even more exciting if he turns out.

I have been praising the Wallace signing.  I'm not sure how many of you remember how he torched us when he was with the Steelers.  Now envision this, 3rd and long on the Steelers 48 and bombs away to Wallace for the winning TD in OT!

Great news. I just wonder if Perriman is too freakish of an athlete for his tendons and ligaments to hold everything together. Calvin Johnson was riddled with injuries because his ability to leap and run at his size. I just want to see this kid play. Baltimore will fall in love once they see him smoke his first DB.

Truly, we need to break the curse of drafting disappointing WRs.

Yeah.....It was reported that it was a partially torn ACL not a sprain though or a sprain a form of a tear. Dr. Andrews also performed the scope on today.

I hope he makes the field this year.  He looks really fast and sleek on the Ravens camp promo vid.

Great news.  Hope this starts a new turning point for Perriman after all the negativity he's gone through lately as well as a winning season for the Ravens.  Go Breshad!
