[News] Reports: Breshad Perriman Doesn't Have Torn ACL, Will Be Fine For 2016 Season

I'm not buying this story. This doesn't make sense and something isn't right. From partially torn ACL to everyone is totally fine. Yeah right. I'll be shocked if Perriman sees the field this year.

Great news. I just wonder if Perriman is too freakish of an athlete for his tendons and ligaments to hold everything together. Calvin Johnson was riddled with injuries because his ability to leap and run at his size. I just want to see this kid play. Baltimore will fall in love once they see him smoke his first DB.

As much as I want to see Perriman make a full recovery why would you be elated that "The Boldin Ship Has Sailed"? Guess you like the mediocre cast of characters we have aside from SSS, Wallace, Aiken, and hopefully Perriman. Geez, you must have loved last years 5-11 season. Anytime you can get a WINNER (AGAIN, only if the price is right) why wouldn't you do it?

Aside from 4 WRs??? How often do you have 5 WRs gettin on the field? and why would you want an aging vet coming in as your #5 WR taking the few available reps away from developing youngsters?? Dumb dumb comment my friend.

Partially torn is correct and nothings changed. Think of a rope... fibers start to tear... now enough of them tear and the whole thing is at risk of disconnecting. Very few fibers tear and its very simple to repair and keep its strength. This is what happened, they didnt know if enough tore to where he'd need a full reconstruction bc if not itd break under more strain... or if the tear was slight enough that all itd need is some rebuilding. That ended up being the case.

Who are the developing youngsters you are referring to? I must have missed them last year.

Because he so past his prime, it's ridiculous. Get over it, he'll never be a Raven again.

P.S. Don't confuse being elated (makes no sense) and being realistic.

I believe he'll play when I see him on the field. Until then no story will make me believe he will. Seeing is believing at this point. Nothing short of that will convince me he'll be on the field this year.

That would be called DEPTH considering you don't know how strong SSS can come back. Agree, he is similar to Aiken and SSS BUT a much better option vs the remaining mediocre receivers we have. You know, the ones in camp over the last 5 years or so "Making Plays" in a jersey and shorts. Had enough of roster fillers. You can never have enough WINNERS.

You know, all those developing youngsters who have been "Making Plays" during camp wearing a jersey and shorts the last 6 years or so. THOSE developing youngsters. Known as roster fillers or JAG. Just Another Guy.

He maybe past his prime but he did have 237 receptions over the last three seasons. Other than SSS and maybe Aiken who's in a position to put up those numbers? That would be NOBODY on the current roster.

Its deja vu all over again. he has an injury, he doesn't have an injury. he's fine, he's out. he'll be back in a week or two. he was supposed to be fine for the start of the season last year, and never played. i would suspect the exact same thing is going to happen again. the "worlds slowest ligament healer" according to harbaugh. i think they may as well put him on IR now.

glass half full kind of guy, huh.   I believe he had a very small ACL tear and that is why he had a scope and only needed stem cell treatment.  According to Schefter he should be back in 2-4 weeks.  That would be great, but it's a general timeline.  Probably be longer than this

Nothing really changes as far as the team goes. Even if he doesn't have a tear, he can't seem to get past practice without getting hurt. If he ever does get out there and gets popped a few times, how do you think he'd handle that if he can't handle just running routes red shirted? Doesn't look good. Could he be a miracle boy, ya, but odds are against him. Sad but a common story and NO, Boldin is not the answer although, just by mentioning that, I feel like I've been Rick rolled :-)

What did he do last year ? I'll answer it for you: had the worst year of his career. Again, that ship has sailed. Maybe Mason's available, would that make you happy ? lol

Did any of you naysayers notice that the "Renowned Orthopedic Surgeon", Dr James Andrews, said his ACL is very stable? I think I'll go with his assessment over anyone else.

Yeah, even the "good news" doesn't bode that well, given last year's story. If it's a partial tear (like last year), and he got stem cells (like last year), can we expect anything better (than last year)??

you make no sense.

if perriman was out for the season and SSS was done then you would have a point.
however that is not the case at this moment.
so there really is not point to add boldin at all right now.

also young players need reps and experience to get better and also so the team can evaluate what they have in them.
boldin at this point would simply hinder that process.

heck at this point you dont even know if boldin at age 35 soon to be 36 has anything left.
common sense would say that teams would already have tried to sign him if they all where convinced he was worth what he is asking for.

right now you are making a smarter decision by waiting and seeing how TC and such will go.
also lets not forget we have a bunch of TE as well that can do what he can do at this point in his career......

Fans need to know when to let go. Boldin is gone and I don't see him returning. We want to get younger and faster. Not older. We already have to vet receivers in SSS and Wallace. We already have chain movers in Aiken who DESERVES to be on the field after his level of play last year. The receivers production didn't hurt us last year. It was the injury bug that killed us. We have no space on the roster for him. He's past his prime man let him go. Plus, have you seen our TE's?! We have Pitta, Gilmore, Watson, Williams, Boyle and now Waller. The replacement for Perriman if he was to miss the entire season is on the team already, Mike Wallace. Not to mention the rookies we drafted that has great speed. Our chain-movers are already in tact and that's all Boldin will be. SSS is our Boldin but better. SSS numbers have been a lot better than Boldin's number. Only difference is possibly drops (which he gets more passes thrown his way) and a SB ring.

I know its amazing isn't it. Ravens fans get good news and they STILL, STILL, whine and complain. The good news brings the exact same reaction if the news were there was a tear. This fanbase is truly schizophrenic.

I'll wait until halfway through the 2016 season to be optimistic or skeptical of Perriman. It's good that there's no apparent tear, but at the same time he obviously did something to his knee and now it's the other knee. Both injuries have occurred with no pads and no contact. Not good. If we get to the bye and he's started several games by that point then I'll be optimistic. If we get to the bye and he still has yet to play in a game, the outlook ain't gonna be that great for the future.

WOW.... great news and 2016 already is looking different then 2015 (where we never seemed to get any good news- just one bad news episode after another). I am excited to see him play and even more excited for him! Great news to start the year off right!

Come on, clearly the naysayers know more than Dr. James Andrews.

Heck the next thing you are going to tell me is the coaches and front office know more than the naysayers.
