On the bright side this just created a job opportunity for someone else. May the best man win. I'm rooting for Darren Waller. Size and speed and more durable 6th round pick.

Maybe somebody like Jeremy Butler steps up. Feel bad for the kid but if he gets hurt two years running without contact what would ever happen when he gets hit for the first time? Not meant to be.

Durable? He was placed on IR last season.

Still think this opens the door for Matthews. great size and Brown both 6-5..Then you have Butler and Klay, still a nice WR corp....

Perriman, DCody, S Kindle- easily worst 3 picks in Ravens history, I kinda figured this guy would never see the field for the Ravens, Never, Never, Ever, draft a WR in the top 2 rounds , I'm so disgusted with this news ..

Well he actually played in games. It was a hamstring and I really never got why they IR'd him so quickly? Now they are moving him to TE. Still like his size and speed.

It wasn't meant to be.
Place him on IR , release him with a settled contract in January, and close this chapter for the last time.

So far it is the usual suspects - Campanaro and Perriman. They are always hurt it seems. Again, this isn't even contact yet and this stuff is happening to the same guys.

Tough break for the youngster. I'm disappointed, but he must be devastated.
Has any NFL player ever come back and had a successful career after missing their first 2 seasons?

Two years and your first round pick can't see the field. When a Wr gets hurt running around in shorts, it's time to label him a bust. Wish Ravens didn't pass on Dorsett, Funchess and DGB for this guy. He and Campanero are stealing money from the Ravens and opportunities from others at this point. They have NFL talent , but do not have NFL bodies. I don't trust either of them to hold up in a 16 game season.

For Pete's sake not again!
What is it with the Ravens and WR's?
We let the best one we ever drafted walk for little more than we were offering after his rookie contract. And the other that the Ravens Draft are injury prone.

So frustrating.

Yea, this kid unfortunately is too brittle for the NFL. I wonder how he lasted in college?? I would just go ahead and cut him.
Roddy White????????
This is good news for Darren Waller who IMO has the potential to be a superstar WR. He should easily make the team now but he was on the bubble before Perriman's injury.
That should leave 6 pretty good WRs: Aiken, Wallace, Givens, Moore (hopefully), Waller and Smith.
They should think seriously about Roddy White IMO.

Yes frustrating. Let go of Boldin for peanuts, and yes that contract would have been overpaying Torrey. However, they found a way to give big contracts to Webb and J Smith and they take turns being injured or getting beat. Two out of the last three draft classes were deep at the WR position and Ravens walk away with Perriman and Campanero.

Folks need to put this in its proper perspective:  Perriman isn't at fault here and I am sure he must be absolutely devastated.  He injured his right knee in his first year, he lost one of his best friends in Tray Walker, and by his own admission he said he was in "a dark place" after those two events, now his Dad is recuperating from a very debilitating stoke and currently he has sustained an injury to his left knee.  I would think a little compassion is due here as I think he has had enough to deal with without folks taking their frustration out on him.   How about a little moral support for the guy?  It isn't his fault.  There are other WR's out there, plus our own.  My goodness,  c'mon people.

I don't think anyone holds Perriman responsible. We are just disappointed that the Ravens have apparently wasted last year's 1st round pick like they did this year. Twice they passed on better talent for a "safe" pick and it is blowing up in their face. Stanley is gonna end up the same way. Either through injury or through mediocrity, the Raven's best "nice" player available strategy is gonna fail.

He was a "risk" because of his injury history. Well it's crap 7, clear the line. Whenever something bad happens you have to blame the leader. It's time for Ozzie to retire and let Eric DeCosta make the decisions.

Not surprised- or disappointed. Post blank- better now than later.
Remember- this is a business, right?

So much for our "deep depth" at the WR position... good thing we picked up Wallace.

Roger that.

He missed like three total games in three years in college, so...

Also, Eric DeCosta learned from who? Oh, right, Ozzie. So if we replace Ozzie with DeCosta, we'll basically have... Ozzie.
