I just read an article about him being a 100% yesterday.

Well from some research, it appears that some partially torn ACL's can have a 3-5 month recovery time.  If the tear really is partial (which is sounds like it might be if he's having a second opinion on if he needs surgery), then it's possible he could return after spending the first 6-8 weeks on the PUP list.

Hopefully everyone realizes this isn't his fault.  It sucks that's for sure.   It's like camp but worse.... At least camp took the field

Losing his close friend, almost losing his dad, and now this, I really feel bad for the kid!

Yeah, this has got to really suck for him. I'd say he's had enough to deal with, without people blaming him, like this is his fault. C'mon people.

Times like this make me really want to doubt Ozzie. This draft he just had better BOOM!

Never understood how people blame the GM for injuries.  As stated, Perriman had no injury history in college.  He gets two unrelated knee injuries, to different knees, that aren't even factored into the genetic condition he and his dad had (aka freak injuries) and you want to blame Ozzie?

thats what im saying man. people need to stop beating the kid down, same with ozzie. i cant think of a single person hurting worse from this than him.

the kid misses his rookie season, has the fanbase blast him relentlessly, loses a close friend, almost loses his father, and tears his acl.. for those who hold this against him personally, id like to see how they would react to basically losing your job for the next year due to something as painful and debilitating as a torn acl.

First things first, I feel TERRIBLE for the dude. No ones more pissed than him. Secondly, we could've had Byron Jones man. Not blaming Ozzie that much though. Our WR core is now:

1. Aiken

2. Wallace

3. ????

I think it's official, the Ravens are in a recession.

yea, thinking about byron jones has me a little bummed.. when we were on the clock i was 110% certain it would be either byron jones or malcom brown. we took the highest ceiling guy with no injuries and he ends up injured repeatedly. unreal

They said it may not be season ending but it will be interesting to hear what the 2nd doctors opinion is and now the question is Does Ozzie keep him from going on injured reserve and see if he gets better? or Does Ozzie  put him on injured reserve and bring in others to let them compete Or since the WR position is so stacked right now does Ozzie bring in a guy who plays another position to fill the roster spot? It will be interesting to see how this pans out. Just feel bad right now for Breshad.

could be A LOT worse....

its hard to count out steve smith, but its even harder to imagine he just comes back without skipping a beat, its hard to imagine he even returns for week 1.

you can talk about his heart all you want, but he has been slowed by injuries before, its part of why he was released from carolina.

welll if his PCL took 8 months to heal it will probably take a year with this one.

What i hate about our situation is it's shown how pathetic we have been in drafting wr's. It's getting to the point where i'd trade a first round and 2nd for a star reciever. I'm sick of this team being incapable of having a star at the WR position.

I would have been more worried last year.....this year, we will have more options....I want to see the rooks step up, Wallace should get some good snaps now

Wow this sucks. It seems like every big contract or high draft selection is followed by a serious injury. I honestly mean this in the best and most serious way, but they may want to put him on suicide watch after what he said about last year.

So looks like we're back to needing a future no. 1 and 2 WR, again. Great.

Even if it is a Partial tear, I'm not confident he would be available regardless, I mean last year he seemed to heal an extremely slow rate. I know it's totally different injuries.....

Smh 1st round WRs.

Did I read somewhere that they changed the rule so you don't have to DTR a guy on IR right away, you can wait and decide later in the season as long as you only do it once? Or was I dreaming?

i don't think we are going to make the playoffs again this year. Something about this team is off. The lack of star talent is apparant. I predict a losing season and harbs will be fired. Theres too many question marks..the non question marks are OLD and they might now be question marks. We have no superstar in his prime. Time to see reality here...Joe flaccos contract has destroyed us..hes the 14th highest paid athelete in the world. Thats an insult..he's stopping us from getting Free agents that are still in their prime. He isnt good enough to offset a very average roster.

I honestly don't know that would be nice if it is true.

It won't matter in Perriman's case.  He won't be practicing in camp in training camp obviously, so he'll go on the PUP and we'll reevaluate at that point.  No need to use the IR for him.

unbelievable.

this team can not catch a break. our wr corps is yet again looking like absolute trash, one freaking injury and suddenly our hopes on offense go from sky high to nothing.

What?  So the loss of Perriman changes your opinion that drastically?  Why?  I only expected him to be a third wr. Make some big plays. He was essentially a raw rookie who fell way behind. Doesn't change my opinion on the wr core. It was ok before. It's ok now.

Atleast this year we have a contingency plan..even though we May need a plan C..Wallace and Moore are ok but one more tall speedster would help. Kinda makes you rethink the second round of the draft this year now..not that I don't like KC..hindsight....
