Breshad Perriman - Partially Torn ACL?

This makes me really question our doctors. First they say he had a minor knee injury that eventually put him on the IR, and now they say he has a partially-torn ACL and is probably done for the year, and then he goes to Dr. Andrews and he says he'll be good for training camp. What the Hell? Sounds like we need to look at getting new doctors because these guys are not doing well.

Makes you curious what is really going on. Do not believe these doctors are really this clueless regarding him every time he is injured. Everybody else it is clear and direct. Would not be shocked if he is injured again before the regular season.

Maybe it could be something with how/who is giving out the information on the medical staff?  Obviously you don't get to that level of practice and not be able to tell the difference between these types of injuries.

Every single time in a game (when/if he plays) my heart will stop when he goes down...

I remember that one of my first posts in here was along the lines of "if Perriman even makes it through training camp without injury."  I am so glad that we signed Wallace.  This might open the door for resigning Bolden, too.  That would be enough to keep us respectable this season.  Moore will need to learn a few route trees to be on the field much this season.  I sure hope that our running game is solid.

Here's my question. They do the scope. No torn acl but they inject stem cells, what exactly is wrong with him??

Because BP has already missed a year, so any time he gets nicked up, the moment to gets a stinger, has a limp, those type of fans are going to raise hell...

It wasn't a full tear, but he still kinda tweaked the acl. The injection was to quickly fix that damage and to help prevent it from happening again.

Yeah, but let's be real: the inconsistencies are very odd and peculiar. I would normally agree with you, but there is mounting evidence to the contrary and it is getting strange how one says this and another says this. I think it makes some sense that perhaps our doctors are missing their mark here. Could be for various reasons, and I won't speculate why. It's just very, very weird.

Oh I completely agree something is off.  I mean, im sure everyone would judge the situation a lot different if last year it was just: BP tore his ACL, out for the year.  Instead of hearing all the random reports going back and forth.  Now, we are basically going through that yet again.  Something is definitely not right somewhere in the process.

Yep. I originally thought that it was Perriman or Harbaugh, but this is the second year in a row. Perhaps the medical staff just suck at evaluating Perriman. Then again, there are others who have had some issues with injuries recently where we seemed to not know what was going on with them. Sometimes people get old or get comfortable and just stop being as effective in their job, and maybe that's what's happening here.

Any updates on Perriman?

Probably on his couch until Late August/Early September before he will start getting into football again

Well Waller won't be a threat.

Idiot.

I think the NFL realized we did have the best tight end depth in the league. And so they drug tested them.

Great way to start off the season without two tight ends. Instead of the year of the injuries like last season, is it going to be the year of the suspensions?
