Which offseason story or development has you excited?

I wouldn't say I am excited about the Trent Richardson story, but I am very interested to see how it pans out.

I am hoping for the best for the guy.

Will ravens go with the most potent and dominant interior oline trio of Jensen at left guard and Urschel at center which has a legit chance of being the best in the league.

What do you see that Castillo doesn't see that would make you think Urschel is better than Zuttah?

Things I'm watching:

1. Monroe/Stanley battle and how it shakes out on the offensive line.

2. How the cornerback depth chart shakes out

3. How the younger pass rushers fit in to the defensive scheme and what kind of impact they will have in year 1.

4. TE battle. Who makes the team, who doesn't.

I am looking forward to how Joe's utilization of the new receivers will go, and how that will augment our offense.

It will be interesting to see, as well, how much the prohibition of the cut blocks will affect our back's abilities to break runs beyond the second level.  The adjustments in blocking schemes and our line's ability to hold blocks with that particular tool being taken away.

Who is going to emerge as our starting RB is another topic of great interest!

Pitta and how he rebounds from two seasons of difficult injury is something I am quite interested in, as well as Max Williams and how his season will shape up.

Much to look forward to and a lot of interesting story lines for this year.......

The 53 man roster. Who makes it and who doesn't. There are more than likely several fan favorites and several early round busts that get cut. I believe that all the draft picks from Stanley to Reynolds will make the team plus Ochi.

So what do you think Pitta will look like this year? And how do you expect the RB depth chart to shake out.

How do you see these shaking out?

Im most interested in the pass rushers personally. When/where/how do you see guys like Kaufusi, Correa, Judon, Ochi, Big Z, Henry, Jernigan, etc... being used if at all?

1. I think Stanley is our LT, and Monroe is traded away or outright cut.

2. I think Smith and Wright are locked in as outside starters, with Arrington starting as the primary slot guy. I think Young pushes him as the season goes alone, but I'm more interested to see how Davis comes back and Powers fits in.

3. When I say pass rushers, I'm primarily focused on OLB. Defensive line has a ton of depth and will do a lot of rotations, so I think there will be plenty of room for Kaufusi and guys like Judon to get snaps if they earn them.

More interested to see Suggs impact when he returns and how much playing time he sees, and how Correa and ZaDarius fair in the rotation and their snap frequency.

4. No way we keep all the TEs we have, so want to see if Pitta is actually healthy enough to make the team and what Gillmore looks like coming back of an injury. If everyone is healthy, no way they keep 5, so I think Waller gets cut.

I wan to see how Joe Flacco's injury recovery affects his play next season. And will the coaching staff go with Ryan Mallett into the season if Joe Flacco is 70% - 90% of his former self. I like this kid Mallett. he brings enthusiasm, a quick release, great recognition and a boom boom arm to the Ravens' offense. I really think we can win with this kid.

I think Pitta may be a bit tentative.  I know I would be.  I believe that the  time away from the game will affect him early on.  I think he has an uphill battle with the depth and youth we have at the position.  His toughness and route running gets him on the field to stay, if he can remain healthy.

I see Forsett emerging as the starter.  Dixon intrigues me...like to get more looks from him during Mini-camp.  I need to see more to push a list out........

I've been sayin that we'll keep Monroe and Stanley would battle for LG, but the more that comes out about Monroe and the more of these comments he makes the more im inclined to agree that theres just no place for him here. I think monroe gives us more security, better chance at a sure thing, and a better group of "best 5" lineman... but i have a feeling that Stanley will be ready to go week 1 and play well.

Will Davis is very interesting. Looked pretty darn good in very limited action... I really want to get an extended look and see if he can maybe succeed on the outside as well. Its interesting how much inside depth we're accumulating between Young, Arrington, Davis and Powers. I know both Powers and Young can play the outside but i think all 4 are better suited in the slot. We'll just have to see what their plan is.

And, yea i think Suggs could be a huge determining factor of our success this year. If he's close to who he was; i think our pass rush will be a huge upgrade. But idk that anyone else can really replace him in terms of all-around play against the run, pass rushing, and dropping. That diversity is important in being able to disguise where the rush is coming from, and not having to change personnel as much between run/pass downs to where the offense can just key on the personnel package and get a good idea of whether we're playing run or pass.

I thought it was cool that we brought in Wes Welker as a guest coach.

Yea, that was actually surprising to me... but shouldve been a great experience for Camp and Reynolds. Wish camp couldve been on the field for it, but picking his brain and understanding how he would view route running, sitting in zones, winning off the line, and improvising for his QB should be valuable for those guys.

Wes in his day was a master. Maybe it leads to a job on our staff. Assistant WRs coach, specializing in slot play. That would add value to the TE group too.... Id actually love to see it.

Considering the youth and talent we have at those spots, I think it'd be a great value.  Even better if the nickels can listen in.

I agree.  Would love to see us make some changes to help improve our WR situation, ie Coaches and Scouts mainly

Not directly Ravens related, but it's an offseason developing story with the Steelers. Apparently Le'Veon Bell missed a drug test and could get suspended, but he's denied that and said its a "radio rumor". So It's probably not true, but I don't know the full story. I wouldn't mind seeing the steelers without him for a few games... Lol

A missed drug test I believe is the same as a failed.

I really hope Ochi makes the team. I just have a feeling that he is going to be a very special player and a top pass rusher. Maybe not soon but in the future. Like I said it is just a feeling I have.

Can't say I heard his name mentioned by coaches. I had good vibes from him when drafted but he's pretty raw. hoping he develops fast and helps make this draft special

In this order:

1. The extraordinary rookie class ( I genuinely expect this class to be the best class in a long time).

2. Joe Flacco's return from injury and potential stats explosion in the regular season laying to rest any myth he isn't elite.

3. SSR and Sizzle's return from injury and playing like new.

4. Breshad Perriman suiting up for game 1 and emerging as one of the best new talents at receiver league wide.

5. Secondary proving to be awesome with Weddle, Webb, Jimmy Smith, Wright and Powers.

I tweeted Jeff Zrebiec asking how Ochi is looking so far,

His response:

To be quite honest, I haven't seen a whole lot of him. Saw him in special teams drills, but not much otherwise.

I'm curious to see how the running back battle plays out. Forsett had that great 1st year. Buck Allen did work as a rookie for us. Kenneth Dixon was some analysts 2nd rated rb coming out of this draft. My dark horse is Terrance west. Reports is that he came into camp in great shape. I remember how a lot of us was bummed when Browns stole him before we could draft him. Man one of these guys won't make it. Gonna be crazy

I think the hype about a possible transition to a 43 is very exciting, considering we have guys like jernigan who is an ideal 1 gap DT, henry who could be a dominant 1 gapper with proper fitness, kaufusi who could be a dominant 43DE with fitness, Mosley who likely would be a better fit at mlb because he plays with more freedom and flows more easily and doesn't have to force himself into the mix because of the nature of the scheme, and correa who can be a pro bowl caliber 43OLB on either side.

So id say the new speed and explosion and versatility we are building on defense has been the most exciting storyline.

And of course, perriman, wallace, moore, maxx, Crockett, watson, gillmore, along with finally having a LT. Looks like the most promising ravens offense ever.

Yup I really hope they change to a 4-3 Under look. Pees said this week talking with the media that won't happen. But lets face it, Correa is a SAM Backer, Kaufusi is a 4-3 DE. Both would need lots of growth and work to be ready to play a 3-4 role right away. Correa athletic abilities would be a lot better served in a 4-3 scheme, same for Jernigan. The only problem like Winchester said is the WLB spot.... but I believe it'll be more 4-2 look than anything to be honest.

The addition of Mike Wallace makes the Ravens receiving corp much more explosive and less predictable.  This will free up SSS and Aiken for the over-the-middle and sideline short passes, too.  I seriously like the chances that Forsett will be back to the 2014 standard, Allen will be more mature and hold on to the ball a little better, and Dixon will add that 3rd head to the three-headed monster running attack.  Ground and pound then bombs away!
