I am rooting for him. He has the ability to be the best back on the team. I think he surprises a lot of folks.

While I agree with you... he has to recover, get in the field, and impress. There's a group of talented backs trying to make the team and he's currently in last place due to the injury

Regarding helping family and friends, I see nothing wrong helping people out. The issue is not a matter of saying only help these few people or the equivalent, but knowing what actual help is for them and if you can really help them.
Giving cash handouts is not help if they keep coming back for more, you never solved the issue/problem. If you really want to help you better listen good to understand the real issue and it's cause then find the solution to fix the cause of the issue. Money almost never fixes the cause of the issue and giving out money only enables those you want to help, to continue without dealing with the actual issue. Just some food for thought the next time you go to help someone. Many people just assume money can solve most issues, when it mostly only kicks the proverbial can down the road, to deal with on another day.

I'm pulling for Trent. If we happen to keep 4 RBs and he wins out over West and Taliaferro, that means he put in the work to earn that spot.

Nice story- I hope this young man makes it in both life and the football field. This might be his last chance. With that said, I always wondered how we ended up with him on our roster, or why him, then after reading this article it became quickly apparent that he's a 'Bama boy, from Oz's alma mater. Go figure... Anyhow, I wish him well and hope things work out. We will need all the help we can get with this team - I don't see us making the playoffs until 2017 or 2018. I think Harbs is a good coach but doesn't have much to work with- I think that's both his fault and Oz/ Eric's fault. This team has gotten older and does not impose fear anymore like the good old days.

All one can do is root for him. But, it is he that has to excel on the football field enough to make it impossible for the coaches to say no to him. I trust that the coaches will be fair to all RBs and pick the 3-4 best for the 53 man roster. However, if Richardson does make it to the 53 man roster, he'll make it because the coaches believe he'll be a star.

I would be willing to bet that there will be at least two running backs that the Ravens will cut that will be picked up immediately and either be a starter on a different team or will be part of a backfield by committee. Based on Richardson's pedigree, if he really gets in shape and really gets his life where it needs to be, would be a number 3 overall pick, the highest draft pick on the 90 man Ravens roster. It is hard to let a guy like that go knowing his history and knowing what he can do. At least he isn't like JaMarcus Russell who came in fat and lazy and blamed everyone else for his failures and only in the last year did Russelll come out and say he was willing to do anything to get back in the game. It is too late for Russelll and lets hope it is not to late for Trent and that he becomes that long run breaker and that force at the line of scrimmage. Nothing like having a 3rd overall pick and getting him for virtually nothing, especially if he pans out.

May the best man win. That being said I wish him all the best. It takes a big man to admit his mistakes in life. Hopefully he can win a spot on our roster. Good luck Trent!

cannot have nagging injuries cost him reps in practice or forget it. he was slow hitting the holes in cleveland and indy. hopefully he has learned from that and is explosive

I wouldn't consider this team old by any means

Taliaferro, West, Allen, all nice players but when it comes to the NFL there are lots of guys like this on every roster. If Trent stays healthy there is no reason why he can't win a job here. I see us keeping three RB's and four TE's and 5 or 6 WR's.

I am rooting for him and any player on the Ravens roster. However how soon we forget. Richardson is not a great pro running back despite his collegiate accomplishments. Richardson pro reputation has always been that of a running back that doesn't go down easy when hit. He is easy to hit, not elusive and does not have vision. Essentially he is a workman running back. He doesn't break out long runs because he can't find the right holes.

i really hope he proves himself and makes the most of his oppertunity in B-MORE.when i saw him in practice,i was like, damn,he looks like a man among boy's,a real pounder, but then i looked up his 40 times,4.45,thats some recievers, wow, just hope he makes the team and stays there, with his new attitude,i think he will keep wanting to prove himself.
