74 Michael Oher  days until kick off.

Yeah he has some haters here. I get that. He did his job to win Baltimore a Super Bowl.  You can't take that from him.

Yea he wasnt great while here, but he wasnt put in position to really succeed either. Switched back and forth between LT and RT seemingly every year. Preferred him at RT and with him as our LT we probably wouldnt have won the SB. Luckily a previous guy on this list hopped in at LT during that stretch.

And btw,  he just got paid by Carolina. 3yr/$21m... Good for him. Love seeing former Ravens that we didnt need getting paid by other teams (though I hate watching guys we DO need getting paid by other teams). Not sure why they did, the tackles were obviously the weakness of that line last year and benefit from Cam's mobility. He's a + RT, but not a very good LT.

This needs no explanation.

Yanda Bear is The Man.  How fortunate are the Ravens to have had him long term? Very fortunate!

Who ?

yeah, I dug back into some old RAVENS programs just to find someone other than Osemele.
Still a little heartbroken about this one.

70 Kevin Houser days til kickoff (missed from Saturday):

Most of the #70's we've had have been long snappers... Not a highly coveted number.

68 Brandon Mckinney days (makeup from yesterday):

He also wore #91 in his time with the Ravens, but there were only 2 other options and one was AQ Shipley (who I didn't want to use).... so yea.

67 Daniel Sanders days:

Had to include that 2nd picture. Wanted to use Justin Boren here, as he wore #67 early on, but switched to 65 and could only find pics of him wearing that jersey. All the other #67's (Adam Hernandez, Quentin Neujahr (sp?) I couldnt find pics of them wearing the jersey.

So, this goes out to all you Dan Sanders fans.... i know theres a lot of you.

Better choice than AQ 'workout warrior, field stank' Shipley

Agree. He's more current and probably more well known at this point since McKinney hasnt played since 2011.... but I just couldnt. That guy was so dreadful here. I mean he was a slight improvement over Gradkowski at C, but thats not saying much.

And think about this for a second... if i recall correctly, at some points in 2013 we played Gino at C with Shipley at LG. We might have been better off just setting up a subway turnstile. At least with them you have to slow down sometimes to get through, and especially for bigger guys they might have had to turn sideways or jump over. Definitely more of an obstacle than those 2 guys.

Yeah, those guys were basically the EZ Pass lanes you can take going highway speeds, don't even have to slow down.

Then AQ would post himself lifting with chains in June and sucker everyone.

In light of his recent retirement, let's go with:

66 Ben Grubbs days until kickoff.

ben-grubbs-saints-nicks1.jpg

Great player, and admittedly thought the FO was making a mistake when we let him walk.... but ultimately made the right decision in keeping Yanda over him. But he had a great career, and happy he was smart enough to make the decision to walk away.

Those guys must of gave the Steelers the ideal about the blocking dummies

And now, since I just selected him with my most recent selection in DaF, i thought it appropriate to highlight him here.

65 Chris Chester days until kickoff....

football-baltimore-ravens-chris-chester-

Love that image for some reason. Jumping through the hole like super man, but not blocking anyone lol. Was atrocious while here but has recently stepped his game up in Atlanta. Love his hair.

Oh, and btw. Others can contribute here. Dont mind keeping it going, but by all means feel free to add your own players.

Yea there weren't many options for 65 either. Only other one I could think of was Andrew Gurode I believe out of Colorado.

There were prob a couple back in the early 2000's but can't think of anyone in particular.

Plus that picture is gold to me. Jumping and flying to get to the second level while blowing passed two unblocked lineman.... Lol, epic effort but complete failure. Maybe he forgot it's the guy with the ball that has to break through the line - not him.

Definitely an epic picture. Haven't followed him at Atlanta but kept thinking... "someone's in trouble" for you're daf team while looking at that pic lol

haha... yea luckily for Gurley hes used to playing behind an awful line; and Chester has actually improved a ton the past couple years. Not great, but he's been a pretty average league starter over the past 3-4 years.

One of the guys that started the trend of nasty, road grading guards here in Baltimore. That picture kind of says it all - delivering a nice forearm shiver rubbing that high-friction tape all over his face. Love it.

I am not sure who he is or who our QB is in this photo, but he is pointing right at me as if to say I had better post him in this thread or bad things could happen.
