So many TE's, what do we do?

While I wholeheartedly agree, it's worth noting that his re-injury of his hip that occurred in Cleveland was entirely non-contact. It is somewhat encouraging that he is presumably able to make cuts, sprint, jump, etc in OTAs.

But I agree, tempor expectations for now, it would be something else to get him back on the field given his reliability and chemistry with his QB.

Definitely true.  I was referring more to ability in general though.  He might look good in shorts right now, but tons of guys look good in shorts at this point of the year.

In fantasy leagues they'll probally list Baltimore TE as a player.

The same might be true at RB too. Trestman should have a field day with this offense, if everyone can stay healthy.

If the Ravens want to keep 3 on the roster then best 3 make the team...PERIOD!!!

if the number is 2 then best 2 if its 4 then best 4 all the others are expendable.

This is the business same with WR, RB and Safety positions well as far as that goes all the positions best guys stay on the team.

I just don't see it. There are so many talented TE's in the NFL these days. Maxx isn't even close to the top 3 IMO. He might not even be the most talented TE on our roster.

The TEs of today aren't All that impressive. Witten is getting old, Jimmy Graham has been less effective in a run offense, gates is on the way out, Vernon Davis fell off the face of the earth, and all the best TEs out there today are nowhere near the caliber of those guys in their primes, celek, cook, reed, ertz, kelce, all good TEs but a big notch below the previous generation of TEs. right now you have gronk, olson, and Bennett that really stand out, maxx Williams has the potential to be at the top of that 2nd tier of tight ends once those older elite TEs hang it up.

Why is Crockett the guy you would get rid of?

This is just if we were looking to trade one, I think he's the one we would get the most value out of.  But I wouldn't mind any duo of Williams Gilmore and Boyle going into the future.

Nick Boyle being suspended 10 games opens up a roster spot for at least 10 weeks. After 10 weeks he'll probably be put on the PS being a young player who's missed so much time. Yes you'll have to risk him to waiver but if you lose your 3rd TE I don't think you're too upset.

yeah , I won't be too upset if we lose Boyle but if he join to Browns , or Bengals , or Steelers , I'll be very upset. they all need a TE , and I am pretty sure they are closely monitoring the situation with Boyle , and perhaps even with Waller.

i'm like Gillmore very much but in that kind of situation he can be traded in a late august

I certainly would  likeDennis Pitta to play the entire season without injury,.  However a College course in probability can always prove otherwise.

The last few seasons we have fell short or struggled because of injuries. 2 of the 3 previous seasons ending at .500 or less. To be honest I think last season our 5-11 squad was more talented than the 8-8 squad in 2013. I do not think season records are an accurate depiction of how a team does. You either get into the playoffs or you do not. If you get into the playoffs you have a chance of winning the superbowl, whereas if you do not you don't have any chance. Losing 9 of the 11 games by a score or less proves that the team kept up with a bunch of the teams when the schedule was full of great teams. Playoff teams included the Steelers (which we swept), Bengals (lost both games by a score or less), Cardinals which we had a chance to win at the end (which were the NFC conference championship runner up), and the Broncos who we were ahead until a boneheaded pick six near the end of the game (lost by 6 and almost came back) and that is your super bowl champion right there.

Yes you can say the Ravens got blown out by the Seahawks and the Chiefs, and that they lost close games to teams they shouldn't have lost to. But just from above you can see they can compete with playoff teams. I don't think this team has a talent problem I think the talent is there. I just think since the super bowl season and losing everyone that we did we have a depth problem. I think at a lot of positions we have addressed that including at running back, tight end, wide receiver, cornerback, and slowly with young draft picks at defensive line. I think depth at those positions have greatly increased for this season and I think that is why our record increases next season and if we do make it to the playoffs with the depth that we have that we can make noise. A lot is still in question I know but the depth this year already looks better than last season.

Eifert too, the amount of weapons Dalton has is insane, aside from Matt Ryan no QB could ask to be surrounded by more, I'd argue with the line and defense Dalton has had the best situation the last 5 years in the NFL.

Maxx is on his way to being a top 3 te. I keep hearing he put a lot of muscle on. He is close to 265 lbs at 6'5. He needs to train with Watson and cut 12-14 lbs of excess weight. He will not lose any strength but will build a step of speed and explosion. He will be playing at about 250lbs, play in the 4.6 range maybe better with his already silky smooth sudden routes and ball skills. Not to mention very hard to tackle and a strong functional blocker. If Ron Stanley,Monroe could hold left tackle the offense is going to be top 3 barring injury. There's a dominant oline 3 young explosive WRs with ball skills, a top shelf te, and a running back with wr like skills who is a very hard worker and plays with pride. He is the new Priest Holmes with his work ethic. Holmes went from a 4.58 40 to a 4.4 after working and returning from injury. Dixon could do the same thing. He is closer to priest Holmes than Rice in my opinion. Rice was an outlet at .Dixon could play wr

Eifert is coming off a big time injury and I'll put him in that elite tier if hes at 100% for sure.

Joe Cool has some maturing and talented weapons as well. Maxx and Ben Watson will challenge the patsies for the best TE tandem in the league. Perriman Campanaro and Chris Moore are as skilled and explosive as any young WRs in the league. Chris Moore could of broke the college receiving TD  record if he did not have to wait on so many throws!! He waited on throws from a terrible QB and still totally roasted the best cornerbacks in college. Because of having to wait on throws his sharp route running was underrated and unrecognized til just before draft festival. Then Mayock and a couple of the gurus right b4 the draft said the Chris Moore is really good and is going to out perform many of the early round WRs. Then Campanaro only needs to avoid injury. His skills and upside are immense. He is far more athletic and explosive than the slots he is compared to. Perriman has everything you could want in a receiver. Except he is a little stiff in his routes but his elite acceleration make up for it. Max is finally getting in shape and on his way to being an elite TE. Jensen Is going to help fans forget KO at left guard. Strong athletic and nasty. Urschel was a clear upgrade over Zuttah at center once he adjusted at center. He is far stronger and more explosive. Yanda is the best at his position.  Wagner is the best right tackle in the league when he is not injured. He, Jensen and Urschel all leaned out and tacked on muscle this offseason. If Ron Stanley and Monroe can hold left tackle the oline is gonna be flat out dominant. Dixon is the best running back receiver to come out of college in several years. He is very skilled, has a top shelf work ethic and plays with pride. He has Said he wants to get faster and stronger. If he loses 10 lbs of fat and tacks on 10 lbs of muscle he could be the best running back in this draft. Tacking speed and power to his already awesome skills will put him in the same class as priest Holmes,Marshall faulk. All those weapons is quite an arsenal for Trestman  to concoct a variety of schemes never seen before in one offense.

I agree with most everything your saying however I have a gut feeling Reynolds might leap frog Camp. Also I see Jensen at center and Urschel at Guard.
