I've been really worried about the injuries, and with the reports coming out of the organization being very "fuzzy" I began to wonder.

Suggs, and Rolle are the biggest concerns. Rolle's groin injury is troubling, because our secondary is already banged up, the last thing we need is to lose Samari.

However for the buzz about Suggs' shoulder sprain I'm wondering if this is an attempt to catch the Steelers off-guard.
Ray Lewis played with a broken arm in the 2005 season.
Derek Mason has been playing with a dislocated shoulder most of this season.

Perhaps Suggs will be the next in line to such up the pain and pull through with a gutsy performance when we need him most?

Yea I sure hope so. I did think the same thing after watching the press conference but then again John has been pretty straight forward. We definitely need Suggs to help get some pressure on Ben to throw him down a few times.

Even if he does not start I am pretty sure Jameel Mclain will bring it in his stead or whomever else they decide to start. We will see how things transpire all this week and when Gametime comes around the Ravens will be Ready to play Harbs has been good for that.

I find it very hard to believe that T Sizzle wouldn't play with a dislocated shoulder, like you said lewis had a broken arm!! he's gonna play mark my words, this is the AFC Championship were talking about!! lol this is the kind of game athletes dream about..

I've been thinking about this as well. Going over past pressers, it seems like Harbaugh has been consistently "fuzzy." When all reports seemed to indicate that CMac/Landry were going to have to go on IR, Harbaugh kept saying that the Ravens were "hopeful," the same held true for Rice and Barnes. That being said, those statements really served no purpose as they had no impact on the upcoming games.

I think we just have to take what Harbs is saying at face value; the MRI probably revealed an injury that would normally cause a player to take a few weeks off, but given the magnitude of this game, Suggs is likely pushing hard to play. There is no deceit, but he isn't giving away too much either.

This game has an added incentive for Sizzle because it may very well be his final game going into free agency. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure he wants to win more than anything else, but playing every game in your career, and then missing your last contest before hitting the market would be deflating.

Another interesting tidbit, immediately following the game Suggs promised he would be playing in the AFC Championship game.
This week in all his interviews he's been unsure, and taking the "wait and see" approach.
Now this could be because it was in the heat of the moment and he didn't realize the full extent of the injury, but what I suspect is they're trying to keep everything toned down.
This is our Super Bowl. Either team that wins this game will go on to stomp on the NFC contender. This match up is the most important. Guys will get two weeks of rest after this game, so I think Suggs will be out there for sure.

How great would it be to see Suggs with only one arm out there sacking the crap out of Big Ben? I know this is wishful thinking, but it's not far-fetched by any means. TSizzle is a monster, and I'd hate to see him leave us.

Dude, it may be a little more difficult than you think to beat either NFC Team.

The Cards at this point are highly reminiscent of the Colts when they won the Super Bowl. Their D sucked all year, then when the playoffs hit, They caught fire and scorched everyone in their path. Its good to see them in the NFC Title game. Nobody would have ever expected them to go.

The Eagles....they managed to beat the Giants twice in the same season. They arent weak.

Now, We have beaten both of these teams already this season, but the playoffs are alot different from regular season games. We will need to bring everything we have for this next game and hopefully the game after that!

We have not beaten the Cardinals this year, but yes we have beaten the Eagles. We never even played Arizona. As far as their D being on fire as of lately, he is right, they shut the run down on two teams that could successfully run the ball all season.

As far as Suggs goes, I heard it's a little more iffy than they thought once they took an MRI on his shoulder and they found out the results. Someone said it was dislocated, wrong, he has a shoulder sprain. I think all players that were hurt on Saturday will play, with the exception of one, that being Samari Rolle. I am not saying I don't think he will play, although I am very weary of if he will, and if he does, will he be 100%?

I don't think it's absurd to say that Suggs will need to play and get pressure if we expect to win... If not Sizzle, then someone else is really going to have to step up.

The Eagles are a completely different team than when we last played them. I figure the winner of our game will probably have the edge, but it won't be by much.

I think he was just running on adrenaline after that game, and he's now come back down to earth. Again, I suspect that the MRI was worse than they expected, but they're still trying to get the guy in. At the same time, the Ravens are probably bluffing/tempering expectations, but you have to remember that Suggs was taken out, and kept on the sidelines, in a do or die game. It must have been pretty significant seeing as Suggs is one of the best players on this team and rarely misses time due to injury.

This is probably one of the few places we have good depth of good players. Will Suggs affect the way we play if he's unavailable/not 100%, yes but I can see others stepping up to fill the void or Rex adjusting to play other strengths.

Good to hear that from Suggs. I never doubted him playing though

I really hope Samari is ready too, because groin injuries can be rough and take a long time to heal...
