[News] Breshad Perriman Is Back, And He's Stronger Than Before

26 posts in this topic

Back on the field at full capacity for the first time since last year’s training camp, wide receiver Breshad Perriman is putting his lost rookie season behind him and moving on. In Thursday’s practice, he looked just as explosive as before the injury.

I'm really interested (and excited) to see how all the new parts play individually and together. Not that I'm racing to get through the summer, but I'm looking forward to training camp and exhibition games to see how everyone does. I think it's going to be a pretty good year.

He seems like such a good kid. But, I also think he is a very sensitive and emotional kid. I know he was emotionally distraught last year. However, I'm rooting for this kid to excel because it is clear he is very talented. You can't teach speed and he has the most speed amongst the entire NFL crop of receivers possibly.

I really like him and want him to have a fantastic year and career. Ellicottraven, remember his speed was at his pro day and you should add 0.1 seconds on to that time. Remember he missed the combine due to a hamstring injury. Just trying to keep it balanced.

Hope to see all this promise realized on the field this year. We could definitely use it. The one thing we've lacked on offense since the departure of Torrey Smith is some game changing speed. With Wallace, Moore, and hopefully Perriman that will change.

I'm worried about how the knee will stand up after he gets hit low a few times in the exhibition season. Right now, I see Wallace as the #1 and SSS as the #2. The other guys will see a lot of reps and be noticed.

If this guy can stay healthy and with the speed of Wallace...LOOK OUT!!!

Wallace and Perriman alone can blow the top off of coverage.

I can't see Wallace being our #1, I think it's still Smith until proven otherwise.

Aiken as well if Smith isn't up to par.

He never had a chance.  Its fresh start for BP.  I hope he succeeds in the mental execution of the game with Wallace and SSS giving him that expertise,

Yes, I am worried about teams that are clearly going to be taking a shot at his knee. Look out for PacMan. You can bet he's going to be targeting.

Having Perriman is great in a kind of way he is our 2nd first round pick this year on the field because he missed all of last year so we have Perriman and Stanley as first round picks to watch grow and see them produce.

Wallace is not a number one WR. If SSS is initially slowed by return from the Achiles injury, Aiken and Perriman will be starting. If SSS is fully ready on day one, I think he and Perriman get the nod, with Wallace the third WR. In other words Aiken backs up SSS and Wallace backs up Perriman. Moore will see action incrementally as the season goes on. He is a great talent.

There's no reason to worry about that. With this type of injury, even thought it lingered for a long time, once it's healed it's healed. Keenan Allen took a similar amount of time to recover from the same injury, and he hasn't had any issues with the knee at all since then. I can't think of a single NFL player to have long term complications from a PCL sprain.

I've got high expectations for this kid. He has what we need. I hiope he can perform as such and be that elite receiver that we've been without. It's hard for the Ravens to home grow their recievers for some reason. I hope he breaks that mold. With he and Wallace on the out side and either Senior or Aiken in slot, I think that would potentially be a 3-headed monster for any defense.

I'm cautiously optimistic.

Last year about this time I put big money on the Ravens to win Superbowl 50.
This year I am going to just watch how things unfold.
It would really be great to have very few injuries and get back to some dominant, "Play Like A Raven" football ! We have the right pieces to be potentially very good on Offense and Defense!
I would love to see Perriman have an awesome season and give Baltimore a little of the deep ball magic we've been missing.

Yet another season missed through injury. Was really looking forward to seeing what he could do for the first time this season, oh well.

You have to give the Ravens credit for signing Wallace and drafting Moore. Wow! What an unfortunate way to begin a career. He hasn't even had a full NFL football contact yet.
