I hope to see him on the field. Michigan's defense last year was phenomenal. Three consecutive shut-outs. Go Blue!

Henry is an interesting pick. I really hope he does well, but our D-line is stacked with young players. He's one of our draft picks that I really think has to shine to make the roster. Currently, I have him on our practice squad rather than the 53 man roster. But a lot can change during training camp and the pre season, so I wish him the best of luck. He definately has the talent to excell.

I hope that connection with Harbaugh-Harbaugh-Mattison helps him become a better Raven. I can only also hope that Jim develops a great program at Michigan and the best recruits in the country come to Jim so he can provide that inside information to John to help the Ravens as well. The access that John would have to Jim's players would be unheralded in the NFL and the Ravens could virtually use Michigan as its minor league franchise.

If both Harbaugh's endorse the guy, sounds like he has a good a chance as any. Plus, "Willie Henry" just sounds like a pro bowl DT. :-)

Kind of like Ozzie and AL. This would be a nice extension of the Raven arm. LOL

I just hope he gets to play at this point. Ravens are DEEP. Better step up Henry!

Being oringally from Michigan in a Huge Maze and Blue fan, Henry was a player that stood out every week as a dominate player, besides Peppers he was the best Defensive Player we had. I can see him having more of an impact than Carl Davis did for us last year.

Honestly the only reason why I think he slid so far in the Draft is because nobody respects the Michigan program yet. We have been so average the last 10 years that its going to take time to rebuild the talent and respect that Ohio State has but we definitely have the right people in place now for that to happen.

The only downside I see with us having such a talented deep young line is they might not be willing to pay Williams the money to stay a Raven after this year. There is no denying he will make huge money if we let him hit FA and the only way I dont see that happening is if we get his contract done after camp cuts.

Actually it's perfect this way. We already have all the inside info at Bama. Now we have Harbs at Mich and that's really invaluable because even if the players don't play in Michigan, Jim has his tabs on them the whole time. Game plans against them and recruits them. We are good!

Great post!

I'm sure you know Michigan football more than myself. But I gotta admit. Henry was impressive every time I watched a Michigan game. I honestly thought he's go late in the second. I would have been fine if we took him with our third. Then I started pulling my hair out when we passed on him with our first 4th rounder. Thankfully we got him eventually.

and to your B.Willams point. I really hope we somehow keep him. Your absolutely right, if he hits FA then he's gone! He's already been playing here on the cheap for a few years and deserves a big paycheck. I really hope Ozzie and them tie him up soon because it's only gonna get more complicated if we stall.

That would be pretty awesome, if that could happen! Judging by last season already, there is quite some talent, especially on the defense. One player to watch out for is Jabril Peppers, who is primarily a CB, but is very multifunctional, can play safety too, as well as a runningback, is athletic and just a pleasure to watch him perform. Another talented player is Jake Butt, but he's a TE, so we won't be seeing him, the way we are stacked at the position.

That will change a lot, over the next couple of seasons. Year 1 with Jim, and already there was a massive improvement! They should be recruiting the cream from now on, so they will eventually funnel quality players into the NFL. One of the reasons not many Michigan players were drafted was, that almost no one, if anyone, declared early for the draft. Anyone who was there, decided to stay with Jim another year. So there was less to pick from. Next year will be something else! One player who I really wouldn't complain about showing up with the Ravens would be Jabril Peppers. That kid is magic!

I agree 100% the only downside is we wont have a chance at drafting him because he will be gone within the top 5 picks. Hands down I believe he is better than Ramsey and would be a complete steal for us if we happen to draft him. Maybe he will be "injured" at the end of the season and we can make more of a push for him in the late 1st round..

I wouldn't wish that on him. But then, I wouldn't wish the Browns on him either. He'll be somewhere in the top 5 for sure, if he continues to play the way he's been playing this and last year.
