Really hope JB takes this opportunity and make the most of it... he really has shown good solid hands... and run after the catch ability.. really came on the last few games of last season pretty much took snaps and targets away from Givens... I know he's a possession receiver but I really like what he brings to the group... 3rd year is a charm

I'm guessing at this point Butler may be another teams Aiken.

I don't think Butler makes the team either, but he's on a bubble with Daniel Brown and Chris Matthews as the last of the "big men" WR's. I see the Ravens only keeping one guy like that on the roster. They added too many dynamic wideouts to the roster to carry three trees.

They will keep 2 trees correct.

I think it really depends on what happens with Dennis Pitta. Whether the Ravens doctors do not clear him, he gives it a try and decides he can't go, or both of those things happen and the Ravens decide it is too risky and perhaps they come to some kind of injury settlement, I just don't think Pitta will be playing in 2016. If he does then the man gets some major respect from me and should get it from everyone. To come back from fracturing your hip twice and to play again...crazy.

So life without Pitta means we have Ben Watson, Crockett Gillmore, Maxx Williams, Nick Boyle, and Darren Waller as TE's. Boyle is suspended for 10 games so his roster spot is open and I am predicting a swift cut from the team when his suspension is over. If that all goes the way I suspect, then the Ravens will carry four TE's with Waller being a special teams ace, mismatch TE, and also can line up at WR and be a "tree" at 6'6."

If that happens, then I see the Ravens taking only one of the other tall guys at WR and my pick is Daniel Brown. Butler is 6'2" and showed some promise, but he's not really a "tree." He's just a bit taller than most of our other guys.

If Waller doesn't make the team then I think that opens a spot for two tall WR's to make the team.

I dont see Daniel Brown or Chris Matthews making the roster... Butler has the best shot of the 3, but even he could be unlikely depending on Keenan Reynolds development as a pass catcher and ability as a return man. Pitta is a huge part of this as well, bc if hes healthy and effective we will keep 4 TE's which eliminates the need for the big WR since Pitta/Watson can both play a similar mismatch role. Then we take 6-7 WRs with SSS, Aiken, Perriman, Wallace and Moore locks imo. So the final 1-2 spots are between Camp, Reynolds and Butler. If Camps healthy i think hes a lock, bc he brings a unique skillset no one else really has. Injuries are the only thing that have held him back. Butler/Reynolds like i said will come down to how developed Reynolds is in the passing game and what he can do on ST.
