Who knows. I have no idea what the prognosis is for that kind of tear but they say it's not just tendons - there's more damage done. Plus it has to be a lot tougher getting both knees right. Where the heck do you even start with rehab?

It's actually a ligament, not a tendon. It gets that name from the femoral tendon running down both sides of the ligament, making very little separation between the ligament and the tendon.

With that said, if he suffered a complete tear in both knees, there's a good chance he took off a chunk of his knee bone as well (that's the likely structural damage).

I'm not a doctor, but the patellar ligament is actually used to repair the ACL and other knee ligaments when torn, so maybe the reverse is true.

You're looking at a six month recovery from surgery and rehab.

At the moment, his knee cap is going to be free floating (not his entire knee), but he will not be able to extend his legs.

A big loss for everyone...

The #Bill have placed C Eric Wood on Injured Reserve, following surgery. His season is over. Big loss.

Also Kyle Long likely done for the year as well

More bad news for the #Bears: I’m told the MRI has confirmed the star OL Kyle Long is out for the season. Major loss in leadership & play.

Another sad note.

Cardinals coach Bruce Arians hospitalized with chest pain

I hate to hear that, it happened to Kubiak and I know Wade Phillips collapsed on the sideline during a game. I wonder if the stress of coaching is just getting to these coaches and that's causing these incidents to happen.

Yup, looks like if we want help with the Steelers dropping a game (or games) to other opponents than us, we have to look at the Bills and Giants (because I don't have any faith in the Bengals or Browns beating them).  I'm thinking we very well may have to beat them on Christmas to win the division.  We need to be within 1 game of them, so may need to win 3 of next 4 (Bengals, Dolphins, @ Patriots, Eagles), then sweep the division.  If Bills or Giants help us out, we can afford a second loss to one of those teams of the final game at the Bengals.  Looking like the Steelers would have to fall pretty flat (or we would have to sweep our other games) to win division without winning on Christmas.

That's sad but I know what he's going through. I had the same in 2001 and I must say the headaches are unbearable. Best wishes Konrad.

With or without Gronk, Patriots game will still be hard to win. Bennett is no slouch and as long as Brady is healthy, they are usually favored in most games. Also, it's at New England and the Ravens are terrible on the road.

It does give us a nice little boost in our chances though.
