Mike Zimmer said that Adrian Peterson might miss a week, might not. He said the injury has calmed down considerably.

Jason Cole at B/R (take this with a grain of salt) says that he has ligament damage.

Injury News:

- Center Cameron Erving suffered a bruised lung and is considered week to week.

- Josh McCown's injury may keep him out longer than expected meaning the Browns will turn to their third different QB in the first three weeks when Cody Kessler likely takes over this week against the Dolphins.

- Patriots QB Jimmy G is likely to miss 3-4 weeks.

Jay Cutler has ligament damage in his right thumb. He suffered the injury in week one but aggravated it more last night against the Eagles. If Cutler misses time, Brian Hoyer would start for the Bears.

The Bears pass rush will be a bit thin now as OLB Lamarr Houston is likely done for the year with a "substantial" knee injury. McPhee was already on the PUP list with a knee injury and now the Bears defense will lose Houston as well likely for the year.

Erving was grabbing at his chest. Worst case would have been a pectoral or something in that area... glad it's just the lung, which is painful but should heal with time. Also, not anything with the head/neck/spine.

- The Vikings season just took a bigger hit as Adrian Peterson will have surgery tomorrow and will miss 3-4 months which basically he means he'll miss the remainder of the regular season. Now on top of that, they have also placed Left Tackle Matt Kalil on IR as well.

- Lions have placed RB Ameer Abdullah on IR due to a foot injury he suffered against the Titans.

- Colts WR Donte Moncrief is out 4-6 weeks with a fractured scapula.

- Buccaneers RB Doug Martin will miss about 3 weeks with a hamstring injury according to Ian Rapoport.

Oh, the football Gods do have a macabre sense of humor when it comes to the Browns. That's a shame. The kid looks like the real deal.

Edelman to play QB and win. Wouldn't that be something

If that happens, my flex spot in fantasy just picked itself.

Russell Wilson took a horrible hit on his left leg.  I heard it was a sprained mcl.  It would be weeks before he is himself.

Alright, now Houston can start planning for the 2017 Draft. JJ Watt re-injured his back against the Patriots last week and is now OUT for the season per Ian Rapoport.

Hate hearing things like this ... undeniably a great player, and may never be the same, back injuries are so different from  all other injuries.   Now they have to rely on Clowney and that's not a good thing.
