2016 NFL Injuries

Very strange to me. If he could barely run. He still saw the field. Signed by Carolina as well. And then the character rumors floating around. Still stinks to me, something fishy here.

Wanna know how to cut down injuries? Make more rules! Like i like in the grasp rule,Once 2 men have their hands on QB the play is dead he's down even he's not tackled. You hit a QB when refs blow whistle and you force him on the ground- 15 yard penalty on roughing the passer. Ref blows the whistle it means to stop. Just like a red light means you stop. If you shove a guy out of bounds on sideline 15 yard penalty unnecessary roughness. No more hitting below the knees 15 yard penalty from spot of the foul. Thats how you cut down on injuries

Of course this is correct but nothing new. These rules have been in effect for a long time.

I guess that is Johns fault too hunh ?

Most definitely, it's from all the accumulated practices under Harabaugh that were just too tough.

So... About that Jaylon Smith pick Jerry Jones.

There has been no significant improvement in his knee and it is likely he will not play in 2016.

These medical red shirts basically never work out.

He was always a long shot for this season and who knows will he ever play anywhere close to what he could before the injury.

So Dallas has Gregory, Lawrence and McClain suspended, Smith most likely out, Lee always big health question mark and rookie DL with a broken foot. Their offense will have to score about 40 points a game to win.

Greg Hardy is available ?

Poor Browns, can never catch a break. DL Desmond Bryant is out for the season with a torn pectoral. Bryant was the Browns sack leader last year.

According to Ian Rapoport, this was a freak injury that happened while lifting weights.

JJ Watt could be out up to 10 weeks after having back surgery. According to Ian Rapoport Watt suffered a herniated disc.

That sets a return for JJ Watt at the end of September, early October.

Well, at least the Texans can look forward to the draft.

And he's never missed a game

There's a first for everything. I mean, we said the same thing about Flacco.

Outside of Watt, the Texans defense is meh. Killer injury for the Texans.

2016 was not a consideration when they made the pick. We can't evaluate this move for 2 or 3 years.

No doubt, it was a very high risk pick.

If Watt is back in early October ... that won't necessarily sink the club. It hurts - bad - especially since it is going to take him some time for Osweiler to get things working. The division is dismal enough that they may survive it.

I know JAX is a sudden darling and they do have good young talent, but they finished with the 5th worst record in the NFL (including one illegitimate win) with much of that talent last year, so I'll believe that when I see it. Indy is still teetering on the arm of Luck and by no means is there a guarantee that he returns to be the QB God that so many want him to be. TEN is likely still a non-factor.

Week 3 should be a hum dinger.   It's @ Jacksonville and somehow they have come up with good receivers in short order.

The 5th worst record in the league vs. the 6th worst record in the league with both working to overcome.  Both teams finished up 5-11.

They had a slightly better point differential scoring about 50 more than us but giving up about 40 more.  We were evenly matched teams last year.  This year the game should indicate which team made better adjustments. The Buffalo game is epic........but this one is going to be powerful too.

Now for the good news.

Our Steeler nemesis is having a tough road.  Martavias Bryant is out for a whole year because he just couldn't stay off the weed.  And now LeVeon Bell is gone for 4.  They seem to have a  way of coming up with big time players, but they do seem to have a problem with the substance rules.

If we can beat them twice I'll take the season.

This is true. Now pick out one injury red shirt that's worked out....
