I'm excited/dreading this game.

I've never been so excited about a game, yet at the same time so worried. There's so much at stake here, so many things going against us, AND I HATE THE FREAKING STEELERS!!!!

This is the most nerve-wracking scenario for a Ravens fan.

Instead of trying to hurry it up, kick back and enjoy the ride. Read everything you can and watch SportsCenter all day long. Seriously, you never know how long until we get here again. Really, it's been 8 years since our last chance to play in the AFC Championship. If I had known it would be so long, I would have spent more time just enjoying the experience back in 2001.

That's true. I wasn't even a football fan back when the Ravens were last in the AFC Championship, so I can't say I had ever known the feeling of being a fan of a team in this position, let alone the fan of the Super Bowl Champions.

So, I guess I should savor this now -- we ALL should savor this now. Because even though we all have high expectations for the future, we don't know for certain if they'll be met. Therefore, live for the moment and enjoy the glory.

Damn, it feels good to be a Ravens fan. :)

What else can we do as a fan during this time, LOL? Just hope some of the coaching staff are grabbing ideas from some of us posters.

We can't lose to the Steelers because if we lose that would be 8 of the last 9 games we have lost to them. Last years when we won it didn't really count, LOL.

I get optimistic and then pessimistic, up and down. I get moments of anxiety and wanting to get it over with, but I agree with the Moderator. I'm trying my best to soak it in.

I try to keep grounded by remembering the following:

1. what this team did was amazing even if they had lost in Tennessee
2. Regardless of what happens Sunday, our QB is playing to go to a Superbowl in his rookie year and he's got ALOT of football left...
3. Our Head Coach got this far in year 1 also. So we will be back soon regardless of Sunday's outcome.

how we lose 8 of last 9? we swept them in 2006! split in 2007! u mean we lost only the last 4 games if u don't wanna give us the win in 2007.

point is....i'm pround of the boys. BUT WE CAN'T GIVE THE STILLER A SHOT AT A 6TH RING! we would never hear the end of it!!! too many stillers fan around the country and we would have to hear about all that 75yrs of tradition crap and hear them get praised for playing the same brand of ball as well do....while we get called boring for it!

I guarantee it wont take us 75 years to win 5 super bowls.

I have always contended that this is the lamest of any arguments, how they won 5 superbowls blah blah blah. Can you really compare winning a super bowl in the 70's to winning one now? Was it as competitive back then as it is now? Were their salary caps? How many teams?

That's a scary-*** thought.

"Ooh, ooh, I know, I know! Let's put Matt Stover in as QB, have Sam Koch line up at RB, put Joe Flacco in as FB, and let Troy Smith play center so he always touches the ball. Then, we can have Koch take the handoff and run for another first down! That'll fool the defense again! Flacco can play FB, since he can do anything!!!! Or, we can have Smith go up the middle for an illegal QB sneak, taking his own snap! Troy Smith r0xx!!"

his comment was "it wont take 75 years to win 5 superbowls" so taking your logic of one superbowl every 12 years. 75/12=6.25.

I'm kinda glad Sunday is taking so long to get here. I am getting more and more confident about our team as the days go by. After that physical tennesse games, I had my doubts. But they are being restored.

Wow, what did i say.

I gave a simple math equation and said you can't base it off 75 years cause there are only

42 superbowls. Steelers won 5 of those/.. 1 every 8.4 years

Ravens have won 1 superbowl 1 every 12 years

I cant say that?

Dude, there haven't been 75 superbowls? How are you going to divide it by 75 when we are talking about number of Superbowl championships?

It's logic.
