I think it's safe to say Steve Smith is going to get some punt returns whether we want him to or not. I'm not saying he's the starter, but it'll happen. Webb could get some too. I'm thinking Reynolds or Camp though.

It'll be Reynolds, Webb and Maurice Canady that will share these duties with the bulk of it going to Reynolds and Canady.

It's an inflated number, Navy runs a triple option offense as you probably know, a bunch of those fumbles are from botched pitches/exchanges... not a matter of his ball security when getting hit really.

That's a good point. I didn't think about that. It certainly makes me wonder how many fumbles were his fault, though. Anytime you see a number like that you've got to worry.

JMHO  I don't like Campanaro as a kick returner.   I think he is an average player as a kick returner. As a punt returner maybe.

He just lacks the explosion i am looking for as a return man.  Clay should handle these duties hands down.

I know Reynolds spent his pre-draft workouts with Brian Mitchell teaching him how to return kicks, and he received some glowing reviews. That said, he will be competing with Clay, Camp, possibly Moore, and Canady. More than likely though I think it will be Reynolds for returner

Don't see how Clay makes the team though. We were annihilated by injuries at WR last year, that's how he got on the active roster in the first place. This year we essentially have 3 new active roster WR's (Perriman, Wallace, Moore).

I totally agree!! I would not really like to see campanaro returning kicks. He is talented and will break out if he can play the games. Chris moore may be a good returner. But he has so much potential as a receiver in would prefer to see him focus  at we and route running. Plan is for Campanaro Perriman and Moore are the preferred trio take the receiver roles. All are young and fast. If those guys mastered routes and the science of receiving the ravens would have an awesome offense for many years. Prefer Moore to outperform Wallace. Those are the young talents to grow with Joe Cool

32 fumbles in his 4 year career.  Now, he was pretty much the whole offense so his "touches" were a huge number, but it's still a lot.

He only had 4 (and only lost 1) in his senior year so hopefully it was something he focused on and improved. He's going to get a ton of opportunities to be a returner, imo, and hopefully he keeps it.
