The thing that really sold me was that Clemson-LSU bowl game where he pretty much won that game with some ridiculous catches. I wanted only one player more after that, but I knew Nuke was going to be a Texan. It was like the worst kept secret in the draft.

Last year, I'd say Thomas and two other guys currently in the league played better (one being highly underrated), but Smith is a top 5 safety, in my opinion, going into 2016.

That was actually the quarterback I was thinking of when everyone else was thinking of Rivers. Still surprised Tannehill and Smith went above him.

Same here at least Tannehill, being from Miami I watch a lot of dolphins games and he just makes a lot of bad decisions. I don't see him as a franchise guy but to each their own.

I feel that you could certainly make a case for Smith. He's easily one of the most complete safeties in the league and had a dominant 2015 campaign.
