Sorry for the wait. Figured I'd be by a computer but was forced to take a step away for a few hours. Lansanah has been a solid player over the last two years and has finally found a home in Miami, where he could stick and potentially even push for a starting job. It's a strange move to bring in Spikes considering that he was just beaten out by Lansanah, but it's purely a speculative addition and I'm fine with taking the gamble this late, especially since my LB corps has a good deal of depth. I'm intrigued by the fact that Spikes is attempting to find a team as I've always been a fan of his ability on the field. At worst, he'll fizzle out, which won't hurt my depth considering the pieces already there. At best, and I mean very best, he could be my starting Mike or Sam and be a thumping force for on a two-down basis. It's a stretch, and I'm not as invested in this working out since I figured last year that he'd be on a team, but it won't hurt much at this point.

I'll be honest I didn't realize Spikes was still out looking for work. I thought he was done. He's had some good years.

Today was his first work out. He could very well end up on the streets.

Two rounds in one day!  Haha. I'm sure anyone could have guessed I'd be going with Cardale. If he can sit he could end up being a better player than some of this years higher picks. Went with my second ivy leaguer in a row with Devalve.

Thanks for making some of those picks for me guys.

I know exactly why Frank Gore was still available, but he is very likely going to run for 1,000 yards again this year. I won't have him for long, but he makes the most talented #3 RB in the game.

Clayton Geathers saw time as a rookie last year and is taking over the starting SS spot in Indy this year. He played a bit of sub-package LB as a rookie, so that adds to his value for me, and probably is his fastest way to the field as my 4th S.

I added Bilal Powell as my 2nd RB in the forum mock for the Dolphins this year and I'd be perfectly happy with him as a #2. Here, he is my #4. With Charles, Woodhead, Gore and Powell, I have 4 RBs that I ranked in the top 40.

Bruce Miller is moving from FB to more of a TE role this year in SF as Chip Kelly doesn't use a FB. I think this could work out well for him as he showed nice receiving ability in the Ravens-49ers game last year. For me, he'll be my H-Back. So, he'll play FB when I need 1, but will also be my TE3. He's proven to be a high-level FB and I think he can be a good TE as well.

I'll explain some of my latest picks since I've been a little busy...

Nikita Whitlock is an interesting one for me.  He was a decent lead blocker, and although in limited snaps, he was a decent pass rusher on the defensive side of the ball as well.  Apparently he bulked up a bit this year because they were so encouraged by his play at DT.  He'll still primarily be a FB for the Giants and me, but still a fun, versatile player nonetheless.

Brian Hoyer is nothing special at QB, but he was decent enough to help the Texans make it to the playoffs last year.  I've always been of the opinion that if your starting QB is done for the year, so is the team.  I think Hoyer is one of the few that counteracts my thought process.

Matthew Slater, despite being listed as such in real life, is not an actual WR for me.  I've realized in years past that I haven't put a huge amount of focus on my ST unit, instead just plugging random guys in.  I figured that if I'm going to fill out a 53, I might as well take real life into consideration and use one of the last slots on my team for someone that has value.

I figured you'd have some interest which is why I went that direction now lol.  He will not be handling coin toss duties for me though.

@CalvinSmoke is back OTC.

With both Senquez Golson and Brandon Boykin dealing with injuries, I needed some stability inside. I'm relieved to land Cody Riggs at this juncture of the draft considering that he was one of the best slot corners in the NFL last season and is reportedly flashing in TC while drawing praise from the coaching staff. Crowell should be a capable between-the-tackles complement to Dion Lewis while Le'Veon Bell is out of the line up.

Thanks for the quote. I need those because my phone wakes me up when I'm up at night, or gets my attention at work.

But I got my boy Hollywood Higgins! I think he has to confidence to be a solid player in this league for a long time. I don't see superstardom but I see a solid career

Steady improving that ST unit with Trawick.  That should round it out with 3 top guys - Matthew Slater, Robert Golden, and Brynden Trawick.

I really like the Braverman pick, by the way.  He was my backup option to Campanaro.  Only went with Campanaro because he's a little more proven on the field right now (obviously), but I was close to going in the other direction.

Got my picks. Went with some reserve DBs /special teams guys. I feel like I have had Biggers on every team I've done.
