How did Matt Kalil fall that far? I forgot about him completely.

He's been steadily declining each year.

Definitely unproven but I think he's got the knowledge and obviously desire to coach. Really interested to follow his career.

I'm interested to see this because not every great player makes a great coach.

That's true. But at this point the bet on the upside is worth it. Belichick seems to get the best out of eh-Olinemen year in and year out. I'd call this a good pick at this point @Mt. Crushmore

Scarnecchia does, not Belichick.

Of course. How could I possibly forget his name? ;)

Went ahead with Harold Goodwin, who's one of the better if not best offensive coordinators in the league. The QB situation obviously had a lot to do with their pitfalls prior to the arrival of Bruce Arians and Goodwin, but he inherited statistically the worst offense in the league in 2012 and turned them into a Top 12 unit despite a lackluster talent at RB and the OL. They were again in that same region in 2014 with Carson Palmer in the line up, notably down without him due to the carousel at QB behind him. And they were statistically the best offense in football last season. The Cardinals were able to utilize David Johnson in both the running and passing games without restraint despite relying on the passing attack, which bodes well for Le'Veon Bell. They took advantage of John Brown's speed, which is a positive sign for Corey Coleman, and they moved around Larry Fitzgerald in order to feed his targets, meaning that DeAndre Hopkins will be leaned on accordingly. Couple that with their reliance on the deep ball, one of Ben Roethlisbegrer's strengths, and their aggressiveness, and Goodwin may be the most ideal fit with Todd Haley gone. He reportedly did so well that Arians has decided to be completely hands off this season so it'll be interesting to see how Goodwin's offense fares this season.

I picked one dude, but skip me for now for my second pick. Haven't really had time to restock my board. This last round got me

Thanks for making my selection for me @allblackraven.

Explaining my last 2 picks:

With Junior Galette going down injured, I needed to nab a new 3rd DE, which takes a bigger role in my defense with Michael Bennett moving inside. Lorenzo Mauldin was my BPA there. Had solid production as a rookie and is now in line for the starting job for the Jets. Todd Bowles came out and publicly said he had big expectations for him, which, if you know Bowles, is something he doesn't do too much.

Matt Kalil will provide me with a solid 6th OL option. OT was a priority for me early the continuation as Bryan Bulaga has a pretty bad history with injuries. My original plan was to draft Andre Smith with my 1st post coordinator pick, but then I decided I didn't want to risk losing my QB target (who has to start 4 games remember) and Galette tore his Achilles, meaning I needed a pass rusher.

Dustin Hopkins, K

This selection is invalid. Hopkins went in the first 26 rounds.

No problem at all. Solid pick there. Agreed on Kikaha.

Thanks. Hopefully Kikaha can return from injury, but I do have my doubts because of his AA.

@Mt. Crushmore are you going to do a conference matchup for voting with teams that were voted best in 3 years from now? Gotta ask as I would be part of that one

Unfortunately, the best team voting has to end now because of the amount of threads, so I can't do a 3 year one. Sorry.

So.. I'm surprised he was here even with the down year. He should be a decent player in the Kubiak scheme.

As I talked about earlier in this post, Smith was a main target for me. Nice pick.

Kalil has never reached the heights of his rookie year and I'd never draft him if there was a salary cap with that 5-year option, but he was better in 2015 than 2014 and was actually on his way to a solid campaign before finishing bad over the last few games. I think this 6th OL role should suit him nicely.

Yep. Had to bring him out of retirement too!

I removed the people who just dropped out from the big board, but I believe I've missed a few skips there and some clocks could be off. I'm traveling, so if someone could check on it I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Too bad the voting threads are ending. Would have liked to see my matchup with ozzsme. A bit of an upset win over crush there imho.

Manny Lawson proved he can still play last year and is still a high-level athlete with great versatility. He'll be my starting SAM.

Mauldin was a very good choice. He's a guy I'd peg for a breakthrough year.

Thanks.

Yeah, voting would be going through until tomorrow morning still if we had another round. I'm a bit surprised by the result as well, but I'm obviously biased.

@rmw10 is up followed by @ravefan52 (4 hour clock), @LosT_in_TranSlatioN, @BmoreBird22, @allblackraven and @ravensdan

Must be due to the age of their QBs
