Was hoping Brees would fall some more lol

At least I was picking for him - good opportunity to add another JJ Watt photo :P

I like Brees a lot, but his age scares me. I'm just expecting him to hit a wall sooner or later and go downhill in a hurry. Sorta like what happened to Peyton last year.

yep, I tend to agree, but feel he's got atleast a few good years left, considering he hasn't had the injury history.

I concur with this sentiment. He's an aging QB, but I don't expect Brees' play to decline as drastically as what we saw last year. That nerve damage really did Peyton in

You know it's been a rough week when you already have to have a drink on Tuesday night haha

Damn, I was debating on who to take between Gurley and Kuechly.  Nice pick @BOLDnPurPnBlacK

Thanks. I want my team to have an identity... and Gurley embodies it.

I do agree with regards to foot speed. That aside, I feel that the part about the WRs often winning match ups is overstated. I've went back to the tape and I simply did not come away with the same conclusion as Newton's ball placement and timing alleviated the pressure of creating separation, especially on in-breaking routes. None of the receivers were outright woeful and they deserve credit for providing a stable of dependable role players. However, that is simply what they were, so the point about the lack of superstars isn't furthered enough. When breaking down the roster, it's entirely debatable whether the stable they fielded at WR had a single starter worthy member. I firmly stand by my point about their lack of talent at the position in 2015.

What I saw was from the end of the year when it all kinda sorts itself out. If the exact difference in about 6-7 spots is about 4.7, that's still above average by their metrics. I'm not saying they were top four, but the fact of the matter is these guys played extremely well probably compared to what we'd expect.

Again, these players all filled a niche. You have two burners on the outside, a veteran tight end over the middle, and a vet receiver over the middle. No, they weren't the best of the best, but they all did their job well.

I didn't sit here and watch every single Panthers game and intently study every snap by every single player (I seriously doubt anyone here did), but I did watch Panthers games. Grim and I had a discussion about this earlier, but even if it was simply speed, those guys were getting open and making big plays on the outside as the tight end ate up the middle.

I won't even argue that Newton played well, but his group of receivers is gettinf way too underrated around here.
