[News] Joining Ravens Still 'Surreal' For Kamalei Correa

17 posts in this topic

I like that attitude... he feels blessed to be here, and knows that he has a lot to prove and live up to. A lot of top draft picks come in and expect to play or be given a spot. They carry over their college mentality where they were a star, but this guy seems humble. says all the right things, has a great personality, and knows hes got a job to do. Welcome to Baltimore and Ravens Nation there Kam. Time to learn what "Play Like a Raven" means.

I never heard of Kamalei Correa until the 2nd round of this years draft. But I really love what I saw when I looked him up his motor is very high revving and he seems to love football it is going to be fun watching these new young guys take the field and get after the opposing teams QB's.

Sounds like a guy that just loves football, just what the Ravens neeeded and hopefully he can turn into a 3 down line men that causes havoc on every play. Really excited to see our d line in action (added so much depth) and what Weddle can bring to the table. Our boys in the secondary have looked lost for years now......hopefully that will change.

Lets just hope these guys make it to the season healthy (on active roster). I'd also like to know how our draft picks from last year are progressing, have they been training during their offseason?, have they packed on muscle?, worked on their technique?. Especially guys like Za'darius Smith, Darren Waller, and Breshad Perriman. Carl Davis too.

Looks great so far. Hope he lives up to the billing and makes us, the ones who wanted to see Buckner here, forget all about it.

Had a good feeling about Timmy Jernigan and now Big KC got my attention BIG TIME! He mite do more than play outside, looks like he can float a Lil bit and Wreak Havoc! "THE ANTICIPATION IS ASTOUNDING"

I want to see why we drafted This Guy #2. Ryan Mink, show me some real footage. I expect him to start, being drafted this high, However, If Judon, Kafusi, or Ochi turn out to be better, do not let pride get in the way. Start them. We got them all in the door, now lets see who is the best, no matter which round or not they were picked, check ego at door, and may the best man win.

Especially Carl Davis. He needs to step up this year. Smith and Waller were drafted later, so it is refreshing to see late picks contributing, but I expect to see more from Davis this year.

Carl Davis didn't really impress me much last year either. I noticed when he was getting run was when he was in pre season games against the back ups. When he played against the starters his name didn't get called once for making a play. He's got guys nipping at his heels but I am sure the Ravens aren't going to give up on him so soon. Usually guys get at least 2-3 years to show something depending on where they were drafted. I think he was a 3rd rounder so he will get the benefit of the doubt.

He's not going to start over Terrell Suggs or Elvis Dumervil, but he might be a starter in the future if all things go according to Hoyle.

I want to see him playing inside next to CJ, I see him succeeding there the most. He can learn right next to Mosley and will benefit using his speed to shoot the Highway lanes that Brandon Williams opens up. He has the athletic ability to cover most RB's, TE's and can switch to OLB in certain situations to rush the passer.

We have guys like Bronson, Judon and Ochi that can learn behind Sizzle and Doom. Those guys have serious potiental and are humble small school prospects that are willing to prove they have what it takes to be in the NFL.

Yeah, I don't get that move either. He's an edge rusher and struggles in coverage. This is exactly what we don't need at ILB and is why we let Daryl Smith walk and subbed him out last year. I think the other starting ILB is Zach Orr's to lose or it goes to somebody not on the roster right now. I don't think Arthur Brown claims it and Albert McClellan is more of a run stuffer/special teamer. Maybe one of the UDFA's surprise us, but I'm not believing that until I see it.
