So Mike Wallace isn't a lock to make the team? I'm pretty sure he is. So if our top four are SS, Perriman, Aiken, and Wallace, Chris Moore takes the fifth spot, Camp or Clay take #6, Reynolds is held in reserve to serve out his military commitment, and all the others either released or sent to PS.

Did we hear any clarification on this?  The Navy does have the right to waive obligations but I haven't heard anything concrete yet

I love Mike Camp, he always seems to be open when he gets on the field, and I am also a big fan of Daniel Brown, Jeremy Butler, and Kaelin Clay. Sad to think that all of these guys are probably on their way out, most of them should find a spot in some way on another team. Camp seems like the kinda guy the Patriots end up signing.

On the other side of this equation, our receiving corps is looking fast and nasty, and don't forget Pitta's health is looking good right now.

That's Camp's issue.  I would love to see what he can do in a full season with a defined role.

to be fair he shouldn't have ended up on injured reserve - that was a mistake by Oz for hoping that perriman would heal and so we lost camp for the season when he would have been back in a couple of weeks - yes it's an issue that he cannot stay healthy but if he'd been seen as a starter or 3rd string guy he would have finished the season - obviously if he gets injured in camp again then he's probably gone but he's just so good at finding space that it will be hard to cut him if he's healthy through camp even if he is "injury prone" - although the kinds of injuries he's been getting are supposedly what the new fitness guy is for

Yea i agree for this last season about being on IR but it's still an overall issue with him.

he's a guy who seems to pick up muscle strains which is what the new injury fitness guy came in to try and reduce - not saying it'll magically improve but the ravens old fitness regime was a bit outdated and may not have actually been helping someone like camp

A guy who just have so many different issues tends to cause more concern to me than a guy with say a lingering single issue.  Hamstring, Back, thigh, etc...im sure im missing some.

Im thinking Ozzie decided that it was best to shut him down for the season and give him the extra time to get completely healthy. He knows this training camp and preseason is his last chance to make the team.

I don't see us cutting Monroe this year. What will the extra cap space do for us this year? Too much to loose at this point. Best scenario is he is healthy and the new kid is great too. Both play, gives us some options moving people around, Next year? Maybe a different story.

Personally I wouldn't mind having some extra money to resign Tucker ?
