Some picks are special. Good Luck to this young guy. Give them hell Keenan, whether it is with the Ravens or the USN.

Drafting Keenan is a great pick, I was surprise that no one else picked him, he's discipline, clean cut, shows great dedications and very smart. Joe Flacco was a long shot also back in 2008, I'm very sure that he will be an excellent QB and or WR, I just hope the Ravens don't kill him in Training Camps which the Ravens are very notorious for, they push these new college guys so hard and they are hurt or expend when the season starts

Maybe we should stop looking at attributes we'd want in our sons and start looking at attributes we'd like in professional football players... We have to be the nicest team in the league now... striking fear in the hearts of... no one. I'm sure it makes it easier for Harbs to coach but we need a little fight in our dogs.

Yeah - I get the concerns around us having to play it too careful with respect to character issues. I don't think it has so much to do with making it easier for Harbs to coach, but rather our aversion to taking more PR hits. The Ray Rice thing caused virtually irreparable PR damage. You can say you don't care what others think, but it has an affect at the top. I don't doubt the whole affair had Steve wondering if there might be better things to do with his time than deal with this stuff.

Also - it isn't just what other people think, but the league is now moving toward harsh punitive measures. Look at Gordon. Look at Hardy and Peterson.

I sincerely hope that we're not choosing pure character without fire and passion. These are not mutually exclusive traits. Nonetheless, we have to understand the concerns are real. Tunsil made it flat out impossible for us to draft him and others such as Spence were still viewed as too much of a risk.

As a military background guy I really respect this guy. Most folks underestimate the level of dedication required just by the academy, much less preparing for the NFL. I think years from now we all will look back to this moment. This guy truly does have the heart of a lion! GO RAVENS! 25
