Victor Ochi was a guy I wanted the Ravens to draft. I think he will be a good player in 2yrs like Mcphee.

Pros:
Highly productive(13 sacks, 16.5 TFL)
Explosive first step
Good hand usage
High motor, relentless rusher
Has knack for getting after the QB/ QB hunter
A sure tackler and always finds the ball

Cons:
A little stiff bending the curve
Needs to develop more pass rushing moves/ counter moves
A bit Undersized
Level of competition

* He's a Raven and can see him making a big impact on the team with a tittle coaching in the near future.

I hope you are right but with Timmy, Carl Davis and now Willie Henry out of Michigan.... I just do not know when he is going to get any reps... but I thought he looked great in his pro day workouts.... etc. Lets hope we found a gem!

Have to think that the stats on Skura - 6-3, 205 pounds ... is a typo. Those are my measurables and believe me, I am not not, nor ever was an NFL center prospect! Guessing it is supposed to be 305.

Was thinking the very same thing

Matt Skura, C, Duke. 6'3" 305 lbs.

Duh :)

The great Mel Kiper gives his take on Victor

Mel Kiper is no joke as a talent evaluator and draft analyst. How the hell did this Ochi guy go undrafted after he put a 3rd-round grade on him??? That's a qasi 5-round difference (if we regard the undrafted rookies as "8th round" guys)...

I was pushing for Ochi way before the draft and he can really play.

If he can play on special teams and work his way on the field. He gets in !

Ochi is honestly like a extra draft pick. I hope he turns out to have the same type of career of a former Raven UDFA but just for this team in James Harrison. Their are a lot of similarities with size and violent hands. I cant wait to see theses rooks go and hunt Big Bendover and Uncle Tom Brady!

I think Ochi is better than Matt Judon we drafted and Kenneth Dixon will be a monster as a slot receiver . Go Ravens.

Reading this article reminded me that Arthur Brown is in the lineup....is he ready? I mean last year the Ravens seemed lukewarm with him playing, has he progressed to the point he is ready for a starting role? GO RAVENS! 25

Let me make a prediction right now. Ochi will be on the 63 man roster (Incl. PS) come September. He's just a phenomenal talent in my view and will outshine some during TC and make the team. The one thing he must focus on is being a great ST contributor for him to have a chance at the roster. Correa, Kaufusi, Judon and Ochi! Bisciotti will be very happy now.

I don't know how many of our drafted and undrafted players we get to keep given that we have only 53 slots on our roster. That makes me really nervous that we may end up cutting some really talented but unproven players.

The NFL really needs to increase the roster sizes to 60 + 12 PS. That makes so much more sense given the amount of injuries ravaging teams and also helps with the distribution of the cap space in a more fair manner. Right now, with the increased cap space, too many players are getting more money than is fair and that includes elite QBs, O-linemen and CBs.

This roster increase will certainly help level out the playing field. And instead of the top 51 counting towards the cap, it should be all 60 counting towards the cap.

That's also my #1 concern. It's gonna suck when we are forced to put 5 guys we drafted on the PS and other teams will voulture on our kills. I just hope Ozzie gets some value in return. If anyone needs a RB, WR, or TE just call Ozzie and maybe throw in an ILB lol

I'm just about ready to give up on A.Brown. Iv been defending him for 3 years now. Now that it's his contract year, if he plays well then we lose him in FA and if he struggles hell cost us a game or two. Someone please help me feel better about this situation...

If A. Brown only has 1 good year on his resume, he should be more affordable. Since Daryl Smith played admirably, we did not really lose out much in the past, Regardless, it is Brown's final, final shot to show what he's got.

Every team is going to be forced to cut a talented (yet unproven) player. It's part of the game/business.

the pass rush is definitely looking up. ochi is a steal and some of these o-lineman look impressive. i believe the ilb spot will work itself out in house or with a veteran that will get released in camp

I believe a few of these guys can (and will) be staying here. Notice that most of these young men are occupying "Up the Middle" positions.
We had a more than solid Draft.....even if some say that Ozzie and group were cautious.
Remember , they have an Owner who tells them what he would like and expects from them and they served Mr. Bisciotti well in this Draft !
Wish all of these youngsters luck and good health.

Yes, I'm just getting ahead of myself. They have added bodies to positions that are seemingly are overloaded. WR/ RB/ OLB.

Sorry ! Keenan will take Camp's spot and Kenneth will replace Smith Sr. next year.
