Victor Ochi was a guy I wanted the Ravens to draft. I think he will be a good player in 2yrs like Mcphee.

Have to think that the stats on Skura - 6-3, 205 pounds ... is a typo. Those are my measurables and believe me, I am not now, nor ever was an NFL center prospect! Guessing it is supposed to be 305.

I'm glad we're looking to add O line depth.

Keenan Reynolds did not play in the east west shrine game but Victor Ochi shows he should have been drafted.

Time to see what all our draft picks and UFA's can do. I trust in Oz and his staff I just don't know how much I like our MLB situation very much. Who is supposed to play next to Mosley? and can they at least play and make an impact? we will wait and see. GO RAVENS!!!

When Upshaw was with us, i had been advocating for the last 2 years to move him inside, as he is a solid tackler, and had the size and weight to push interior O-Line back, and i am kind of thinking we give Z.Smith some snaps inside with his size, seeing we drafted and signed a bunch UDFA who are edge rushers....JMO....

Yep - that's where we found Smith and we're definitely going to be on the lookout for releases at ILB. Given how the position has been devalued, there are going to likely be some relatively well priced options made available.

I would feel better if Ravens would have about 20 DB after the last three years with that position. I hope one of these guys becomes a great returner. Since Jacoby left we seen flashes but nothing consistent.

yeah Asa Jackson was probably the best we've seen on the team as a kr but he had ball security issues

I don't know how many of our drafted and undrafted players we get to keep given that we have only 53 slots on our roster. That makes me really nervous that we may end up cutting some really talented but unproven players.

The NFL really needs to increase the roster sizes to 60 + 12 PS. That makes so much more sense given the amount of injuries ravaging teams and also helps with the distribution of the cap space in a more fair manner. Right now, with the increased cap space, too many players are getting more money than is fair and that includes elite QBs, O-linemen and CBs.

This roster increase will certainly help level out the playing field. And instead of the top 51 counting towards the cap, it should be all 60 counting towards the cap.

Pros:
Highly productive(13 sacks, 16.5 TFL)
Explosive first step
Good hand usage
High motor, relentless rusher
Has knack for getting after the QB/ QB hunter
A sure tackler and always finds the ball

Cons:
A little stiff bending the curve
Needs to develop more pass rushing moves/ counter moves
A bit Undersized
Level of competition

* He's a Raven and can see him making a big impact on the team with a tittle coaching in the near future.

There were two problems with Asa:

1.) the suspensions;
2.) He had terrific moments - but just as many boneheaded mistakes: penalties, fumbles etc.

The great Mel Kiper gives his take on Victor

Mel Kiper is no joke as a talent evaluator and draft analyst. How the hell did this Ochi guy go undrafted after he put a 3rd-round grade on him??? That's a qasi 5-round difference (if we regard the undrafted rookies as "8th round" guys)...

does ozzie secretly hate OU players ? no eric striker or Dominique alexander ?
first round pick next year should be on another franchise ILB

Man CB and whoever is going to start next to CJ is worrisome...

You have no faith in A Brown & McClellan? I liked Orr but your right no much depth there. Stopping the run could be an issue again forget l passing

Can't be any worse than Daryl Smith & Will Hill in coverage. Secondary will be light years ahead now that we actually have a Safety in Weddle that won't let every speed WR get behind him. Or seeing every TE become an Pro Bowler against Daryl Smith...

I think AJ Green puts up pro bowl stats just in the two games he plays us every year and Barnidge looked like Tony Gonzalez in his prime. I agree the Weddle signing already makes us better along with a majority of our 11 draft picks going to defense.

Jarrell Boxton will be that next guy...diamond in the rough type. This guy is a massive road grader ... and not just a big body like Ramon Harwood or Jah Reid (although reid ended up playing okay). If Broxton improves his pass blocking and hand positioning he can be a beast in this league.

I bet that we still sign a CB soon! We have somewhere in the neighborhood of about 12 million in cap space... we will see that used and I believe used on a CB at minimum!
