[News] Round 4: Ravens Draft WR Chris Moore At No. 107

36 posts in this topic

Overdrafting a dude who would have been there in the 6th. He would have been there that late because he's a not so fast speed threat that can do nothing but run 9s and drop footballs. That Ravens belief that their coaching staff can consistently craft every raw player into a starter is going to bite us again. If not for Flacco this team wouldn't have gone above 4-12 any season after the superbowl.

Do some research before posting about a guys ability just because you read a 2 paragraph blurb. Since you can see into the future, please post the winning powerball numbers

This guy will demand the football from Joe. Any receiver that can actually catch the ball is welcomed here, I dont care how fast they are. We have had a long history of drafting wideouts who specialize in drops. Welcome to Bmore Chris!

These are the guys setting us up for the next decade? A LT when were paying 7M for the one we have already... and a bunch of special teamers. We use our 1st pick on a guy not rated in the top 15 players in most polls as an insurance policy and then trade away from all the impact players in the 2nd. I was so hyped for this draft now more than likely not a single one of these guys will be starting opening day. I knew those last few meaningless wins were going to cost us. If I see or hear the word "value" one more time I'm going to lose it. Name me 1 Raven selected in the 4th round or later in the last 5 years that made an impact last season.

we have 5 4th round picks, an dyoure nuts if you expect any of them to be spectacular on any level. it hardly matters

Why Moore over Mitchell? Mitchell goes next to NE and has hands bigger than OBJ circus catching ball hawk that played war corner and kick returner. I guess his injury history killed it for us with him which is a real concern,he needs to stay healthy.

Zadarius Smith, Buck Allen, Nick Boyle, Urban, Campanaro (before injury), Urschel, Taliaferro (before injury), Juszczyk, Ricky Wagner, Ryan Jensen, (Pernell McPhee, Tyrod Taylor count as last 5 years too)

He asked for guys who made an impact, not just a list of guys who ever played a game.

you cant make an impact if youre not on the field, so anybody you have to write (injury) next to is disqualified.

As for most of the rest of these guys:
Urban, Urschel, Wagner, and Jensen dont make an impact by mere virtue of being on the field.
Our o line was trash last season. If those guys made an impact, it was a negative one. Urban only played 6 games and barely recorded a stat.
Pernell McPhee did not play for us last year.
Neither did Tyrod Taylor. And in the days Tyrod Taylor did play for us, he didnt make any impact. he only played one real game for us. He threw for 149 yards, 0 TDs and a pick. His Total QBR was 62, passer rating 60.

Moore said he blew by three different Buckeye cornerbacks that game, including No. 10-overall pick Eli Apple (New York Giants).

“It put that check by my name showing I can go around a first-round draft pick, I can go against the national champion, I can go against the top of the top and play at a high level," Moore said.

I like That.. This Kid has an Attitude Like that of an ODB. If Perriman isnt ready to go this year this could be the Insurance plan. And Perriman could be looking at the end of his career if this Kid Turns out as well as his attitude Projects him.

Urban played great on ST. Wagner struggled last year but still made an impact. Urschel started at 2 positions on the OL and played well. Jensen even had a rough start but closed out the season really well.

I didn't like this pick at first, but watching more and more tape on him... hes just got something about him. hes not quick or fast, but hes deceptive. he just knows how to get behind people. whether its timing, suddenness, I don't know. but he gets open, and when hes not he can go up and get the ball. we'll see what he can do. not a volume catcher, but when he catches it its a big play, and scores TDs as a really good clip

Perriman looking at the end of his career?? lol. yea, a 4th round draft pick is going to end perrimans career. Im starting to like this pick, but hes not an elite athlete like Perriman, has never put up a bunch of catches, and Cinci spread the ball around A LOT, watching this guys tape most of his catches he's wide open. he can make contested catches, but a lot of his production was easy catches. And NFL corners/safeties aren't going to let him get behind so easily. I like his potential and hope he makes an impact - though that's very wishful thinking considering even if Perriman doesn't do anything hes got SSS, Aiken, Wallace, Camp, Butler in front of him. And right now he's a 1 trick pony, the same trick Wallace and Perriman can both do and he doesn't have even close to the same speed as either of those guys. Perriman's potential is WAY higher, and can do a lot more than this kid. Bigger, stronger, faster, better production, better upside, etc... even if he's successful it does nothing to Perriman's future. That's the most ridiculous thing ive ever heard

BRent Urban recorded 5 assisted tackles and 1 sack.
Thats not an impact.
Brent Urban did not score points or stop the other team from scoring points from special teams.

you cant struggle and make an impact, thats impossible and makes no sense.

you're reaching way too hard here.

Last 5 years? I'd say mcphee made an impact within that time span... He was a real value ;)
