The same people that thought Upshaw would be a top pass rusher? Everyone gets picks wrong and everyone is entitled to their opinion on this board.

Precisely. The exact reason why I voiced mine.

You didn't voice one. You shot that posters opinion down when he said he didn't like the picks by virtually saying... well your wrong, because the front office that get paid to scout players like the picks so they must be good.

Thats absolute rubbish. I bet back when Upshaw was drafted you were one of the many that criticised my criticism of the pick because what would I know, I'm not a scout.

The front office isn't infallible, they made more mistakes lately than hits in the draft and it's an utter kop out to criticse a poster that criticises the front office just because they must know better because they are paid to it like you said.

Really grinds my gears this obsession they can do no wrong and no one is allowed to criticise them.

Hey man relax! You may grind your gears bald if you go like this.

I wasn't really impressed by Moore's Rookie training camp highlight on the main site. These shots are more than likely out of chronological order, however, when the coach said keep your hands up on the snap, the next couple of shots his hands were down.

On a comeback route he turned way too early and it seemed like forever until the ball got to him.

And he had trouble getting off the line on one of the smaller corners.

It's EARLY, I know, but not the best showcase of a player in the least.

Moore will have to show he can beat press man. Didn't see it at Cincinnati.

I don't think he will have to prove that. Trestman uses so many stacks, bunches and actually moves WRs around that if Moore does struggle with press, he'll still be able to operate in space.

It takes two to tango. The QB has to anticipate and deliver the ball on time, we don't know what the playcall was.
Chris displayed his hands with the grab as he fell to the ground.

I think it's safe to say we need more footage (camp, pre season, maybe even a quarter of the season) before we can pass any legitimate judgement on any of these guys. Can't wait for more!

You can't be serious. I think you really really really need some real football back in your life because you're reading way too much into a 40 sec video lol.

Also he didn't struggle to get off the line against the smaller DB. The DB had inside positioning and Moore was running a inside route. He had to fight through the contact to get across the DB and get to his spot which he did leaving the DB pulling at air.

But I will agree that it's way too early.

He may struggle initially to beat press but he is to good of an athlete to have trouble getting off a jam!!

Yea I agree. I mentioned earlier that the way Trestman spreads the offense and isn't afraid to get creative moving WRs around I don't see him ability/inability to get off a jam as an issue at all.

Honestly, if it weren't for Trestman and Engram I probably wouldn't be this excited about Moore. I'd just look at him as another wasted talent at WR. But Trestman is gonna use him well, more then just 9 routes and Engram is gonna coach the heck out of him.

I was watching the beginning of the 4th round and the Chiefs selected a guard out of Cincinnati, all of the plays NFLN had strung together for him were punctuated by #15 for the Bearcats making big plays. Two picks later... we pick #15 of Cincinnati. I had about 2 minutes worth of good impression on Chris Moore already lol.

I'm not sure he CANT beat press man consistently. He simply isn't forced to in the games I viewed.

Make no mistake, he is already working on it and he needs to develop that ability.

Or maybe as a better receiving option than a lot of the guys on the team already.

He fits the mold of a wr that Joe can use well. He can make plays deep and make tough catches. He should have a better chance than Darren Waller Or Jeremy butler.

just to clarify I'm not on the Moore bandwagon yet. Need to watch him more. I just did what the previous poster asked : underline and bold his statemant.

I'm more confident on Young tho I,ve been vouching for him for almost 2 months

I can see him beating out Marlon Brown and Jeremy Butler.. But I think Waller is our 4th tight end. We kept 4 last season and I think we keep 4 because of Watson aging. To me I think Pitta and Waller are in competition more than Waller against Moore. I also don't think a 4th round pick gets cut.

I was more referring to Waller making the team last year and doing next to nothing. I think Moore will outperform wallers rookie year by quite a large margin.

If you watch games where he is not the target. He actually is very sudden and shifty in his cuts and explodes out of breaks.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. I agree Waller showed next to nothing. I think Moore can easily bypass Waller's rookie season I think Moore will pick up about 300 yards which is solid with the depth at wide receiver we have and who he sits behind.

Waller is a scrub. He will never be a good receiver. i never liked him!! He looks like he runs routes in high heels. He is being moved to TE cuz he will never be a good receiver. Forget his rookie year. Chris Moore will be better than him now. If you watch games he ran over the middle but was not targeted he ran sharp sudden flexible routes. So he has a complete skillset to mold

I was mad we took Waller man. I really wanted dezmin Lewis and I still think he's gonna turn out to be a stud one day. He was a very complete receiver who inexplicably went in the 6th and we cpuldve gotten him.

Sadly I don't see him amounting to anything, but its hard not to love his size.  I do think Moore has a impact here.

What I like about the Ravens draft this year, they selected a few players I didn't know a lot. The more I take a look in these players, the more I like.

That means their scouts did a hell of a job. We know they won't all pan out but lets hope some of them are great. When they drafted Moore all I remember is : not so great hands. The more I watch him, I see him catching with his hands and not his body. he adjusts to the ball quite well in the air. he's got that extra gear. I'll wait to see him in game actions/scrimmages but I thought he was a reach maybe he isnt

this is one thing I noticed a lot with BP as well.  Lot of people questioned his hands but I seen him high pointing balls quite a bit and his adjustment to the deep ball is very good.  I like what Moore can offer.

oh no doubt. I've said before that I love the prospects of what both Moore and Reynolds could to because I know Engram will coach the heck out of them and Trestman will use them well. I really hope the Ravens give Engram that Eric DeCosta type deal so he isn't lost to another organization. I really think the Ravens finally found a guy who does a great job developing young WRs.

Same goes for Frazier. I really hope those two stay around.

I'm happy that Moore isn't talked about as another deep threat here, because that's just not what I believe he will be in the NFL. However I think he can step in as Aiken's replacement (if Aiken leaves next year) for example. He looks like a very complete receiver, just not a burner, but I think we are going to love him.

I see in Moore what the Ravens wanted in both Torrey and Coby. Not just a deep threat but a big play speed threat. He'll be expected to develop into just what you said imo. A solid #2 option to pair with Perriman and Camp/Reynolds in the slot.

I think what Trestman wants is that homerun ability at WR while using the TEs as the possession guys in the middle of the field. It'll be interesting to see how Aiken is used and the opportunities or lack thereof he's given in a contract Year.
