I think Gilmore's was like this too. People wanted West so badly that year. Mosley's wasn't particularly welcoming either.

Funny thing...I absolutely HATED the Gillmore pick...now, I dont want to imagine our team without him. Love having him, rather than having to face him. People wil come around and see the light with Correa

I like Correa a lot. I woukd have loved to pair him with Bosa to have 2 styles of attack he's not refined at all but I don't think it's just try hard. There's a lot more potential here IMO.

There are a few instances when it's hard for me to be around these forums. Draft weekend and when the Ravens lose a game. A lot of people just come from out of nowhere to bash the entire organization. They have their jobs for a reason and I like the pick. Seems like a good fit for the scheme.

And how can you deem someone terrible before they even hit the field. Never understood it.

I also think people is leaving out another player who is going to be competing for more time is z smith.......so hopefully smith and correa can be the next tandem

He is a try hard but he is not an elite game changer. He does not have firepower of Spence. Ozzie got cute trading down for more role players and ended up with a mediocre player. Wanted to replace Upshaw maybe??  Isn't that how the ravens landed Scrubshaw?? Trading down and missed out on Impact players for extra late rounders?? I hope Spence becomes an elite edge rusher. Correa is a try hard. Nothing special. Ravens need impact players not role players

Shouldn't you be hoping our guy excels?

Have you even watched tape on spence? too many ifs. He didn't even standout playing in the Ohio Valley conference.

Stood out more than this loser!! Spence got it done at OS. This loser could not reach double digits in his joke of a conference.  You are honestly telling me this guy is as good as Spence? ? Seriously?? I'm saving this thread in my iPad for when this guy busts like Upshaw so peeps can't pretend to not of applauded the pick. I said Upshaw and Elam were busts now where are all their lovers at??  Ravens are making a spoof version of the 2000 team titled "In Ozzie we Bust" lmao

That's not true because Correa got I think 12 sacks in 2014 and got like 7 I think in 2015?

I'm pretty bummed that Dodd got picked up two picks ahead of us, but I can really see the appeal of Correa. I'm happy to give him a couple of years to prove everyone wrong, and I really hope he does.

I get the argument about him being a reach, but personally I think there comes a point where if you get a good player you get a good player and it doesn't matter if you could/should have traded back another 10 picks. So hopefully Ozzie knows what he's doing and Correa becomes a great player, but time will tell.

Hawaii boy to the Ravens. I like it; he's relentless, coachable, and can cover...which is what we needed.

I don't care if this gets me in trouble, but you're the absolute worst calling one of our players a loser. If you think he's a loser, I think you're blind if you watched his tape. He has a lot of potential. He was a very good pass rusher, he can cover  (which Spence can't ), and he's solid against the run (which Spence isn't). He was inching his way to first round talk. He could definitely be better than Spence.

Of course I do!! But I'm realistic he doesn't have the firepower to beat nfl tackles. I liked Ngakoue better to be honest.

What about Urban (if he stays healthy)? I think he's got a shot.

The thing I like about Correa is that you can tell he is explosive. If you watch his Boise State games you will see that they move him literally everywhere from Edge, to MLB, to Rush LB, to SAM, to even CB. I mean the guy literally played everywhere on that defense except inside and that's what I dislike about Boise State defenders--they are hard to really look into because you need to know your stuff with them. In that way, I like Correa because he has immense upside. With the right coaching and actual teachers to teach him technique, this guy could be a very good player. I still don't like taking him over Spence, but I get it because I think the Ravens see him as a more well-rounded player and not a one-dimensional pass rusher that Spence could be.

Regarding Spence vs KC...

Prior to the draft, I would have preferred Spence. That's mainly because I expected the 1st round to result in either Ramsey falling to us, or us taking Myles Jack (prior to his news of course). Either way, I think in that scenario Spence would have been a better fit, because he's a more polished pass rusher, and would have complemented that first pick better.

But otherwise, I'd honestly prefer KC. He can be the total package, not just a pass rush specialist

Spence is a DPR and correa is a pass rushing olb in my eyes. I don't get the hate here, I think he is exactly what we needed in the front seven, versatile and very explosive and hustles and plays violent, I think people just latch on to familiar names and throw a fit when their guy isn't taken.

Nice little scouting report here. Not sure how reliable this guy is but he correctly predicted Correa would go in the early 2nd.

Welcome K. Correa I don't know much about you but cant wait to see you start to develop your skill in the NFL just play like a Raven and you'll be fine.

You can look at him as a stud edge setting OLB like Upshaw. But unlike Upshaw, this dude can really rush the passer! We still got Zadarius Smith, too.

I did some thinking on this pick and I think I was a bit harsh. The truth is Correa is a good prospect but I don't think he is as fast off the edge as Spence, but then again, he's got some skill and upside. He needs a bit of work on his technique but he came from Boise State, which is notorious for just not using their players to their fullest.

Where my disappointment comes from is that I just think that Spence is a top-20 prospect with a problem and I like his attitude a lot lately and I think he can turn it around in a big way. In that way, I see him as a 1st round pick. As a result, I feel bummed because I thought we would get another 1st round pick at 36, but I think I realize now that this draft class isn't that good. Rather, it's just got a lot of even talent after a few guys. I knew this going in, but I forgot it somewhere. I think Correa is a bit boom-or-bust, but I am hoping we did our due diligence and got ourselves a boom because we need it, and frankly I don't think someone keeps their job is Correa turns out to be a bust and Suggs & Dumervil don't rebound.

So now that we have kafusi... Is there a possibility KC is going to be a MLB and kafusi will be the 4th OLB.

No. KC would get eaten alive at ILB
