[News] Round 2: Ravens Trade Back, Select OLB Kamalei Correa

SMh are we drafting cheerleaders or players? Players make an impact and cheerleaders rally the crowd and the sidelines. Which one is Correa? Are you even serious? Does he know he was drafted to the AFC NORTH??????

If the Ravens got their guy while getting 3 selection instead of 1....WOW! Very exciting...great deal. Keep cooking the stew, Wizards.

I don't feel like the team we have right now is any better than the team last year. Ravens needed impact, game changing players. What OZ decided was more picks, more "guys". We needed a star. Sad to see other teams get it. Taking risk to get blue chip players while we move back to pick 4th and 5th round guys hoping to find a diamond in the rough instead picking up the diamond in front of you. Spence and Buckner will tear up league.

I'm not a couch GM by far, but as a die hard, I am really just disappointed so far... Why not Jack ? Seems like Every other team is looking for plug n play impact players... Did they forget we only won 5 games last year ? Or that we've lost more games than we've won since the super bowl ?!!! smh

Jack is a defensive Breshad Perriman waiting to happen, too risky, don't blame them for passing on him.......

this is ozzie trying to outsmart everyone and failing again. wow, does this pick suck. he was projected as a day 3 pick, and he is undersized for a pas rusher. What the heck? are they smoking in the front office?

He was ranked #36 on Kiper's final big board and #34 for Mcshay; That's hardly a day 3 pick.

Or do we prefer to just collect picks these days?Almost every high pick is a miss in the last 8 years....and we let Upshaw go for 1.5 million? I remember New England trading UP to snatch Hightower ahead of us. Thats how you get better, you get better players

I agree with you on this.

How do you trade back from #36 for only a 5th rounder and then again for a 4th rounder? Did they read the charts wrong, gave away value and for lesser talent. Frustrating. Correa has upside but is going to need time to develop. Pretty sure they could have easily taken him in the 3rd round no contest.

If we draft better, then we dont need to keep spending unnecessary money to replace 1st rounders like Elam, and we would then have money to resign the few picks that do pan out, like Kruger, and Torrey Smith. Thats where bad drafting kills ya

So now we get to regret not getting Tunsil AND not getting Noah Spence for the next decade. Ozzie is done y'all. Hasn't had a good draft since 08' and I'd say 8 years of sub standard player acquisition is enough to call it a day.

I'm not saying you're right, but IF you were right how is one trait enough to damn the man? Do you know what he does? Daily?

Wow. Are you actually suggesting that we ignore the draft when assessing our general manager? That's 70% of the job.

I'm glad to see that there is a consensus otherwise. We need star players and acquired 2 starting caliber guys with limited upside. That's a poor haul for the best draft position of the decade.

Agreed... The current state of our franchise is a direct reflection of how we've drafted these past few years..

I'm interested in hearing from the FO as to who else would have drafted Correa before our 3rd round selection.

We took him too high.

Kruger and Torrey both received 8 million per year on the open market. They were in no way worth that kind of money. Thats double their value. No thanks.

So I'm guessing Arthur Brown is actually going to play now (Also a 2nd round bust by the "wizard" ozzie)? Or are we going to play Ronnie Stanley next to CJ?

we could've done the first trade back and still have gotten Spence.... but we come away with Correa. Dudes about 30 pounds too light. I always trust Ozzie but I AM TICKED OFF right now.

They have watched hundreds hours of tape. They know what value they are getting. Youve watched a 2 minute youtube video and listened to Mel "overraction" Kiper. Ill trust ozzie who has 2 Rings. Monday morning GMs. SMH

Zachary Orr will play if we don't add anybody, Arthur Brown is never going to start a game in the NFL.

So they move back and miss Myles Jack and Noah Spence who is a top 15 pick without the character concerns and who may be the best pure pass rusher...SMDH. We needed to do really good in the draft this year, I was kinda bummed about the Stanley pick then slept on it and realized that it was actually a really good pick, then when I think things get more exciting day 2, we let the Jags take Jack and miss on the best available pass rusher. I'm done with this draft.
