[News] Late For Work 4/29: Did Bizarre Tunsil Video Affect Decision? Ravens Tried To Trade Up For Ramsey

We have a decent Left Tackle in Monroe at least when he is healthy. I think that he Ravens will keep him as the starter with Stanley giving him plenty of breathers to keep him sharp and hopefully healthy. If he stays healthy and Stanley looks a good as expected then Monroe will be great trade material next year which would make both the Raves and Monroe Happy While at t he same time giving Stanley plenty of tutelage from Monroe this year.

Stanley will be a starter. If not at LT, then LG or RT. We didn't draft a guy at #6 to back someone up and give them breathers.

I like the Stanley pick! He has his head on straight, wants to win! Welcome to the Ravens!

Hindsight is 20/20... If I knew about that video I probably wouldn't had picked tunsil in the contest. With who was there at 6, I'm happy with Stanley

wrote Zrebiec: “Harbaugh didn’t rule out having Stanley play left guard in 2015. That, however, seems unlikely.”

Unless he has a time machine, of course.

I never understand people who advocate losing on purpose just to get higher draft picks. As if fostering a losing mentality helps your team. "yeah, you guys stink. go out and lose some games so we can draft guys better than you." And I guess when your trying to bring in free agents its always nice to show them your "losing culture."

You can always tell the armchair coaches from people who've actually played competitive sports.

It's not about armchair coaches. it's about making a decision with some empty "rah rah" bravado versus being practical and thinking with your head. Don't talk to me about losing culture. You may want to talk to the Colts who had a plummeting season and foresaw Andrew Luck sitting at the #1 spot the following year's draft. You think the Colts told themselves "hey lets win as much as possible so we don't end up with Luck!" Give me a break, smart teams know people will forget a few lost games when you're stinking anyways at the chance of grabbing a franchise player that will last you a decade. You'll be more thankful for that.

Stop whining, the league did not screw the Ravens over. Draft order is determined by strength of schedule, of which the Jaguars had a tougher schedule.

Some positions look more exciting on the surface and others are more exciting period. Ramsey while an amazing athlete, did not show a high amount of turnovers in college, one knock against him. Doesn't mean for sure he won't be better at NFL, but it has to be somewhat a concern.

Stanley on the other hand gives you everything you look for in a starting OT for the long haul. I like not having to watch the backup QB how about you? Plus the Ravens have the coaches to help this young man excel at the next level. They have been doing it with lesser talents for many years now.

I thought NFL deemed  we had tougher  schedule ,therefore Jax was weaker team and would pick before us. In any case as my old grandpappy always sais "never trust a stat that can be manipilated by humans.
