I just watched a piece about Sterling Sheppard on the NFL channel. I want him more than ever now. He is a Steve Smith clone with tremendous heart and great hands.

I meant to comment on this. He seems like he is going to be unstoppable based on inspiration and determination alone after seeing that.

I'll make a prediction...

Round 2: LB Noah Spence via trade up with TEN

Round 3: CB Will Redmond

I think we will need to trade up to get our pass rusher because I think someone will trade ahead of us to get Spence &/or Dodd. Just a hunch.

There's apparently 4 or 5 teams making calls to the likes of the Titans and Cowboys for their picks at the top of the 2nd. This according to NFL Network.

One of those is probably the Buccaneers. I know they liked Spence and they probably want to get ahead of us to get him.

Personally, I wouldn't  trade up at this point. Worst case scenario, we get someone like Cravens or Sterling, which is pretty good.

Who else gets the terrible feeling that Cleveland stays playing moneyball and trades back deciding to let SD choose who they take between spriggs and whitehair, while the team they trade with targets spence, Tenn takes alexander, and Dallas takes dodd...

It just feels like the type of thing to happen after missing out on Ramsey by such slim margins.

I'm now almost sure it will happen exactly like that

Yeah you can't exactly be mad if you end up with a guy like Sterling Sheppard. I just think Spence seemed like a Top-15 guy without his off the field stuff and he might be worth the move.

Not saying we should take Jack ahead of someone like Spence, but if the Jags do end up with both Ramsey and Jack...I can't even think of the words to express how crazy that is. Gus Bradley gets his defensive stars to pair with a rising offense full of young players.

Jacksonville has done so well with acquiring talent lately.  I think this is finally the year it starts translating into wins.

Alright Satan you're giving me heart problems. Haha but if I had to pick out the top 3 guys I want that are left, I'd be those 3. Let's hope those teams don't feel the same way.

I love cravens and I know the ravens do too, and id love him at 36, because I think value be damned if you get a starter who can wipe out TEs and play the run and even rush the qb... But, I'm not sure the ravens see enough value there.

Arguably the top two defenders in the entire draft. I still can't believe that's a possibility. That's like one of the wacky scenarios I would think up for the "dream draft" thread.

Dont forget about last year's #3 overall pick Dante Flower, that would be worst case scenario since I already worry about playing them in the next couple years in the playoffs.

At least it's not the Browns, last thing our division needs is another talent heavy team winning divisional games then choking in the playoffs.

If Ozzie picks A'Shawn Robinson, Reggie Ragland, or Derrick Henry in the 2nd tomorrow I may throw a remote through my TV.

The pick should be Spence, Dodd, Jack, Alexander, or Cravens, I'm down with any of those guys. If we get Alabama homer'd by Ozzie I'm going to be sick.

Lmao same here ! No Bama players yet. Spence or Jack please.

I'm "ok" with Ragland if he's our guy, hell no to Robinson or Henry.

I agree with you 100%

We need to trade back into the second and take another playmaker. We need edge rusher and a corner. If we take Ragland we diff need to make some trades.

Can't believe Dallas was to scared to move to 6 thinking Jacksonville might take Elliot. We were so close to get Ramsey

If we draft Ragland I hope he can play 3-4 OLB and rush the passer better than Upshaw.

He definitely can. But I'm starting to lean toward Jack for us in 2nd - he's going to be the monster with all this extra motivation he just got.

Would be horrible to see if Cleveland pick up Jack tonight.

Would be even more ridiculous if JAX ends up with Ramsey and Jack -__-

They feared that we would go for Elliot and if not, that somebody would trade up to 5 with the Jags and take Elliott. Understandable when you think about it.

Exactly - and also, according to reports, Jerry Jones was dead locked on Elliott - so it's understood they didn't want to really risk it.
