We did need O-Line help and Stanley can help us. It took a second for me to come to terms with this pick but I think it will be a good pick. I don't know how I feel about the knee braces I see him wearing in his pictures is this because of past injuries or just for extra support? I do know most of the rest of the picks need to be defensive picks....

Yeah the Ravens DO have an immediate need at LT. Monroe stinks. If they want to protect their quarterback investment, they had better get Stanley ready to go. Monroe was the worst graded lineman on the Ravens last year. Is that the guy you want protecting Joe's back?

Football games are still won and lost in the trenches. This is not the sexy playmaker that most fans wanted but in the end its the best pick for this team. Now they will find the playmakers in the later rounds.

I like the pick but I would have loved Buckner, who in my opinion could have been day 1 starter like Stanley next to Williams and Jernigan without creating the personnel/cap issues that this creates. Remember that someone has to WANT Monroe for a trade for it to even be considered. In other words, lots of nice dead money back on the cap even as a June 1st cut when we were just getting out from under the Rice dead money, etc. But the front office isn't worried so I defer to the pros.

Man I'm sorry but Ozzie needs to be fired. Only drafted 1 pro bowler since 2009, which is CJ Mosley. I don't care what you guys say, a rookie LT is not going to be an upgrade. Even if we put Stanley at Guard, we drafted a damn Guard with the sixth pick. You could've found a free agent olineman. We don't pick in the top 10 every year so draft a difference maker. Should've gave up whatever Dallas asked for to go grab Ramsey. I guess we will be picking in the top 10 again next year..

I was shocked it was Stanley until I heard about that tweet. The ravens needed an LT. Not a sexy pick but still a good one. With Bosa Elliot and Ramsey gone I figured it would be Tunsil. In fact that's who I expected. I think Ozzie dodged a bullet on that one and made the best choice. Tunsil looks to me that he'll be nothing but a headache for the dolphins. Not something we need. We need a guy that we can count on to protect Flacco. Stanley is that guy. Lots of picks left to focus on the defense.

Stanley is just a replacement for bad decision on Monroe. The same the Oz will have to do for a safty, receiver, conerback, and linebacker.

Draft..draft...draft...bla, bla bla. After weeks and weeks this is our #1 pick? Boring! But alas, we have 3 more in the next 96. By then the whole picture will be clearer, with more excitement; as Oz and his mates led the Ravens back to VICTORY in the land of the Play-offs.

I love this pick. Everyone complained when we got Mosley because they said we had Arthur Brown. How did that turn out? Flacco went down because monroe is made of glass. They continue to complain because hurst was our backup and was the reason for flaccos injury. Now the same people complain that we got our Book end LT for the future. Ill support this team no matter what. We dont need you fair weathered fans.

Anyone who believed the talk that Monroe would be our LOT was duped. Joe got his sacrifice answered with this J.O. clone. I expect Stanley to be eased into the position in preseason and ready to start at LOT game one. This is a great pick. Protecting Joe's blind side was the priority. QB's going 1&2 made the pick possible. I was elated when that happened. I knew we had our man.
